What a bunch of stupid hypocrites.

Thank you to Amy Bruni of Syfy's Ghost Hunters for bringing this to my attention.

Facebook HAS become a pay site. At least for fan pages. No longer can you become a fan of a celebrity and get the same treatment as everyone else. Because now Facebook is making whoever is running that page, PAY SO THAT FANS CAN SEE THEIR UPDATES. This is disgusting! Part of "liking" a page on Facebook, especially a celebrity, is to see what is being posted.

All rights for this picture are given to Amy Bruni
I mean seriously?? They want her and others to pay for, not only other people having access to the page, but EACH post?!?!?! You have got to be freaking kidding me. I am beyond disgusted with Facebook for this.
I understand that you went "public" and all, but that's your own mistake. You shouldn't make everyone else have to pay for that.

I'm now going through all of my "likes" and deleting the ones I really don't care about so that people who are super fans of those pages have a better chance of seeing the posts. I suggest you all do the same. I promise it won't take long.

SO. Make sure that you see their posts on your wall by going to their page as often as you can remember to do so. It also might be a good idea to join Twitter and follow them on there, or to see if they have a website.

What do you guys all think? Are you just as disgusted as I am?

School's Out!!!

Woo!!! Made it through the year! Today was pretty awesome. I found out I did FANTASTIC on my Spanish final and I did pretty darn good on my theatre final as well. Then during the extra "study-period" (it's just an extra class so that they can serve all three lunches and have the half day count as a school day), we had a taco bar in the drama room. It was pretty awesome.

Though, I'm going to miss a lot of things about this school year.
I'm going to miss my Biology class.
I'm going to miss my English teacher.
I'm going to miss my Spanish teacher (but not the class haha).
I'm going to miss this year's French I class.
I'm going to miss a particular someone.
I'm going to miss having no more than 15 people (counting teacher and student teacher) in theatre.
I'm going to miss the classes I had with friends.

Aaaand that's pretty much it. I am NOT going to miss all of the homework! >.<

Time to enjoy my..........................

Stick on nail polish

Best thing ever.
The end.

Ok, not really the end.

So I suck at painting my nails. My left hand will turn out ok and my right hand will look like poo. Nail polish poo, of course. But then last weekend I went to this awesome makeup store called Ulta (I love it because they carry big-name-expensive brands as well as good-drug-store brands, and they have a great salon section as well) and I was looking at these new stick on nail polish strips. They're starting to become really popular. I was looking at some by OPI. And then I stood up, pinched my sciatic in my hip, and almost passed out. After taking 5 minutes to recover, I went back and picked some out. I got this design that's sparkly pink, silver, and white. The pattern looks kind of like lace. I don't know how to describe them really. It's kind of like stripes, but more like triangles of fabric laying on top of each other.... let's see if I can find a picture, shall we?

Ok, so it's called the Parisian. Isn't it a cute pattern?
Ok, now just remember that my nails are not big enough to use up the entire strip. But this is what they look like. About half of it actually fits on my nail haha.

But they are way cool and soooo easy to apply. I very much so reccomend that you try them at least once. The coolest part about them is that they aren't fake nails. It's just like you're sticking a strip of tacky nail polish onto your nail. Just be sure to have a bottle of clear coat (or glitter polish in my case) on hand so that you can keep them from chipping as quickly. They are supposed to last for a while, but because of how they are applied, if you get any air bubbles it will cause it to start to lift at the edges. And once they're dried they can't be pressed onto your nail any more. But they are still way cute and I LOVE them. So easy to do and so much fun.

In other news, the last day in French class was Tuesday :( I'm going to miss that b-class... Last day in Bio tomorrow. *Sigh* I can't believe this year is already at an end. So far I've been rocking my finals. Now as long as I don't die on Friday during the theatre final, we're good. Oh, and hopefully I won't bomb tomorrows Academic Celebration (AKA TEST) in Bio tomorrow.  Tonight is STUDY STUDY STUDY!!! After math homework of course.... :/ AHHHHHHH you guys! I'm going to dieeeee!!! Ok, that's it. I'm banning myself from computer time for the rest of the night. Tonight it will be straight into bed with my Bio notes and power points, and my math book. At least tomorrows math quiz is open note. So it will be a nice time to die after I finish taking the Bio final. I'm thinking the essay questions will be the death of me, again :'(

Kissing in Disney Movies & Some Big News

Disney has oddly intense kissing scenes. I mean, have you seen the one in The Hunchback? That was...wow. For a kids movie, anyway. And then you have Quasimodo being all creeper and watching them....
I guess since it's animated it's ok *insert eye roll here*. But it just surprises me how much kissing goes on in Disney movies. And it's almost never just a simple peck. I guess Prince No-Name (Snow White), Prince Philip (Sleeping Beauty), Prince Charming (Cinderella), and the Tramp (Lady and the Tramp) were the only ones that understood a first kiss should be...not like the Esmeralda and Pheobus'.

Crazy, non?

Oh, by the way,

WOOOOO!!!!! 100TH POST!!!! WOOOOOO!!!!!
This is totally the longest I have ever gone with any blog/journal thingy. I'm so proud! :')

Last Full Thursday :(

That's right. That's a frowny face. As in, I'm kind of sad that school is almost out. (If it was a frowny face with a tear [ :'( ] then it would be extremely bummed.) But it was a good last full Thursday.
In English class I turned in an essay about Walt Whitman, who is my all time favorite poet.
Then in French we took our final and there was a dance off. Talk about crazy! Imagine an already super outgoing teenage guy dancing (with about 95% accuracy) along with this:

And may I add, he decided to use my desk as a surf board. That was....shocking to say the least haha.

But then I got kind of sad. I wanted to watch the video for Un Peu de Blues and Mme told me that she didn't have it. I knew she did...but I didn't want to be mean and call her out on it. The problem is that she SEVERELY needs to reorganize her music files. She has two Christophe Maé folders and it just so happens that she was looking in the wrong one. So the one that she looked in had Résiste and Belle Demoiselle. And even though we said to pick Belle Demoiselle, she picked Résiste. I don't like that video. It bores me.
So then we had like 20 seconds left in class and she checks her other Christophe M. folder and VOILA! There it is. So we watched about 3 seconds of it before the bell rang. Guess what I'm suggesting, if we have time, next time ^_^

Then Bio was as hilarious as ever...but I feel those details need to stay between me and the other people in the room at the time....and a certain friend...who needs to check her texts more often XD

Trig...bleh. Can't wait for it to be done. Although, it was SUPER easy today! We're doing sequences. I love them. Why couldn't we have been taught the whole a(n)=a+d(n-1) formula when we were doing these in elementary? It would have been so much easier than going through the whole in and out boxes thing. I mean, sure, we technically learned the same thing because you had to find out "ok, if it's this term in the sequence then I have to do this to that term number to get what it equals..." but come on, that's a SIMPLE formula! Of course for elementary you would have to put words and not letters in for them to understand...but still!
So basically notes took 30 minutes as opposed to an hour.

And that was pretty much my day. Oh, something I learned today: Christian Bale (Batman) was in Pocahontas!! He played Thomas, the red-head who shot Kokoum.

This sucks.

So, last night I was laying on the couch thinking "I'll get up and do my homework in about 5 minutes."

I fell asleep. So here I am. 5:30 am. Doing my homework. (And blogging, but that's beside the point.) Oh, and I'm exhausted. Can't wait til today is over.
Crap, math final today. So I might die. Well that's not sooooo bad is it?
Hmmm...which part of Biology homework should I skip-- worse case scenario of course, I'm planning on getting it all done.
English homework will be done in English class. Thankfully my teacher is pretty awesome. Darn. I really need to get started on that essay this weekend.

Oh, need to find papers for mom to sign for senior project. Uck. All of this "teenager" stuff really sucks!

Time for music and biology and a banana!!!! (Those exclamation points were for the banana, mostly. And the music.)

Oh! I had this horrible dream last night with this evil butterfly! So, last year in Biology we raised butterflies and I had a dream we did that again. But mine was so mean! I was wearing this shirt and she apparently thought it was a plant because it was green. But she was BITING ME! And it hurt! And I kept telling her to stop and that it wasn't nice and she was like "I'm going to suck your brain out!" So I took her back to class and I was like "Here! Take her before I kill her before she kills me!" And so we stuck her in a jar. The other butterflies were much nicer. And then this kid in my class didn't believe that she was evil and so he wanted to let her out of the jar. But I wouldn't let him.

Bones Season Finale

I will not be writing any specifics because I know I get a lot of readers from other countries and I don't want to spoil anything for you guys.

But I swear, the writers are all sitting at home watching Twitter light up while they stroke their fluffy white cats and laugh like a villain. How could they do that??? They just leave a huge opening!! Obviously this is why Bones will be going onto it's EIGHTH season. Good job you writers...good job... >:(

Now I definitely can't wait until next season. So much suspense!!! GAH! This is ridicule!

Bye Bye Jelly Belly

So last fall (I think it was) my grandma was adopted by two of the cutest little boy kittens you could ever meet. One orange, one black. We named them Peanut Butter and Jelly (respectively). It was obvious that they were brothers. They never left one another's side. Even when Peanut Butter got sick, Jelly wanted to get in the carrier with him and go to the vet. They were each other's best friend and would often spend the afternoons giving each other painful-looking baths. It was amazing their ears ever dried off.
On Friday afternoon Jelly had apparently ran across the street and was hit by a car. When my grandma went to check on him she knew it was too late.

I'm going to miss you so much Jelly Belly. You were such a sweet little boy, but it seems you were just a little too curious and playful.

Santiano

According to the one person I look forward to seeing in French, the guy on the hill is hot. I think he has a weird nez...

And the "Hisse et ho [Hisse et ho], Santiano!" part is stuck in my head.
But that's ok because it's not a bad song.

I hate adults who...

Patronize me. If you want to seriously get on my bad side, do this.

So I may have mentioned the SAT (or not) but anyways, starting this year my state is paying for all high school juniors (grade 11) to take the SAT which is a standardized academic test that most colleges and universities will require you take. (There is also the ACT and most schools around here will take either one, but others prefer on or the other.)  Am I the only one who thinks this is a fantastic idea? Usually it's like 80 bucks to take. The catch (I guess you could call it that) is that because the state pays for it, it will take place on a school day instead of a Saturday. And because it's such an important test, juniors will be the only ones in the high schools that day. Did I mention this only takes up a day? Good. Now you have the basic background.

So I'm scrolling through facebook and an adult, who has one high school student who is not a junior, is complaining about it. In her original post she says "blah blah blah (for those who plan on taking it)" And so to me it looked like she didn't quite understand that it is now a state requirement. So I simply explained that it IS in fact required by the state and since they are paying for it, it's likely that there will be a lot of students taking it that wouldn't otherwise have a way to pay for it. Again, it's 80 bucks. That's not very cheap. And then she comes back with a completely patronizing comment: "Ahhh but you see , dear one, normally, you go on a Saturday or some such time, and go take the tests. See.. if you want to go to college.. you need to learn to get off your backside and do it yourself. Go..get what you want. We are too busy... teaching you guys that it will be provided for you. WTH? since when? We are taking a day away from school for 1000 other kids to make it easy for 400 others. Yeah.. like that happens in real life.. others than on welfare."

Now let me highlight the parts that I felt to be patronizing. I really should have just highlighted the whole thing. Would that have made any of you this mad? Because I pretty much deleted my comments (that were NOT laced with any sarcasm or rudeness) and then made it so that none of her stuff will show up on my feed. And now, I use a lot of ellipses when I write (especially on the internet) but hers just piss me off even more. And surprisingly, this is an adult I usually look up to and get along with quite well. Now, let's just say, I won't be volunteering to go over to her house anytime soon.

Oh, and by the way, not only do I have SATs this week, but I have the usual AP Bio and trig homework AND the school play is this week. We still have people who don't know their lines and our platform has started to collapse. All I want is for this week to be over. So that I can go shopping on Sunday with some friends. And then next week is prom, which means I get to party all night with some awesome people ^_^ and then crave grilled cheese sandwiches after the dance haha
After that, Gracie and I seriously need to get a hangout time scheduled. Oh, and I also have my senior project to work on.

Time for French music and homework. And momma's cookies. And water. I'm thirsty. Then sleep!!

Horrible day. Brought to you by fathers who don't understand anything and instead of just supporting you they just act like jerks and complain. Made better by Merwan Rim's music.

Ok, so I'm stage manager for the school play as always. We are doing Of Mice and Men. The biggest difference between a company play and a school play is how much time we get to prepare. If we got 6 months to prepare and didn't have to plan set building around other events that require the auditorium, you better believe we would have perfect plays. But we get like 2 months and we have to make sure that before we start building the set they don't need the stage for choir or band concerts. The auditorium isn't for the theater department only. I really wish it was. But we have to share.
So, because I'm at my dad's this week I've been getting rides home from rehearsals from my step mom and then today we had a Saturday rehearsal so my dad dropped me off while they were on their way to Costco. Rehearsals were at 11. He dropped me off at 10:30. Wouldn't be a problem except then my drama coach (aka the director) sent out a text saying it was moved to 11:30 because he was having car troubles. So I was pissed at my dad already for being a jerk on the way over and saying things like "I don't understand why you guys have to practice as much as sports teams" "Is the set actually going to be done this time"* "If they have their lines down they shouldn't have to practice so much" "Is this going to be the last rehearsal before the play starts?"** And so yeah, needless to say I was already pissed off when I got there. Then I had my mom pick me up so I could cool off and we did a bit of shopping around. I've decided that from now on, when there's a school play happening, I'm staying with her the week before AND week of. I don't care what my dad feels. He just pisses me off and stresses me out.

So where does Merwan Rim fit into all of this? Well, I logged into twitter and saw that he had been doing some chatting with people and so then I remembered some lyrics to one of his songs. It's a song in English and it's one of those songs that every girl wishes some guy would say those things to her ("If I gave you everything and all the stars, would you feel alright? If I brought you wings to fly up to the sky, would you still be down?" Is that sweet or not?). And then I remembered THIS song that is from now on my New Years Eve/Bad day song.

I couldn't find a good English translation, so you'll just have to deal with only understanding the English parts. But that's ok because those are the parts that make this my feel good song.

Tu sais, que je
Suis arrivé au bout
Les yeux ferléq je ne tiens plus debout
Je sais, tu sais
J'ai bien failli tomber
Ils ont voulu
Me voir abandonner

Hold on you're fine
When they cut you to size
Then you turn round ans smile just a little
Say Happy New year
Coz this is the end
Of all that was broken
Let go of you fears

Say Happy New year
Un nouveau départ, Un nouveau défi
j'ai vraiment tout donné, vraiment tout donné
J'oublie le passé enfin je respire
C'est un nouveau jour

Get up get up take a second to look
Take a third take a fourth
And you'll see that you're good
Enough enough it doesn't matter at all
When you feel like you're surrounded coz you
Stood too tall

Je sens, mon coeur
Qui se bat
Et je regarde au loin vers le soleil
Sau Happy New Year
Coz this is the end
Of all that was broken
That you needed to mend
Let go of you fears

Say Happy New Year
Un nouveau départ, Un nouveau défi
J'ai vraiment tout donné, vraiment tout donné
J'oublie le passé je respire
C'est un nouveau jour

Je n'ai plus peur des silences
Des coups durs, des absences
Every heart is open tonight

So happy New Year
Coz this is the end

*The last play we did, we had Drama Competition and the variety show right before the play and so we couldn't build the set pretty much until the week of. But we DID get it done on opening night and the play turned out really well. It's just my dad is too thick-skulled to understand that it wasn't entirely our coach's fault that we didn't have it done sooner.

**Seriously?!?! That question just pissed me off. It's not like people don't have to work to get good. And it's not like we just go and learn the lines and then the blocking and whatever else comes naturally. Or that we can go over it once and remember every little detail. We put just as much, if not more, work into our plays as the sports teams put into making themselves good.

Free 3-legged, obese cat to g---ANY home.

I hate this cat. Seriously. She's my stepsister's. She is the devil cat. First of all she is a *enter bad word here* to my other cats. Second, SHE JUST FREAKING ATTACKED MY HAND FOR PETTING HER! And not like "Oh, let's play!" No, she tore a chunk of skin out. So now I have a band-aide on my hand and it stings. Two band-aides actually...the first one's gauzy part wouldn't stay down. And you know how usually once cats attack you like that they'll pull back as you do and then just glare at you or run off? Not this stupid cat. She's too fat for that. So she just sat there and hissed at me. I went to slap her and then realized I like having at least ONE hand working. So I threw newspapers at her which would normally scare off any cat. Nope. Then I threw the kleenex box at her. Still no. So I finally grabbed her by the nape of the neck and tossed her off the couch and chased her into the bedroom before nursing my wounds. I WANTED to throw her out into the middle of the road.
Now, I know that makes me sound like a horrible person, but so would you if you had to deal with her. Now I know why my dad calls her the w[b]itch cat. She truly lives up to her name.

So, please, I don't care if you are in Japan. If you would like an obese calico cat that is going to die soon anyways, and has three legs, leave a comment. I'll even pay for shipping. Not sure if she'll last. I'm not planning on poking holes in the box.

I DO NOT ABUSE ANIMALS. I JUST HATE THIS CAT WITH THE PASSION OF A THOUSAND BURNING SUNS.

Why so serious?

I mean, really, why does everyone have to take things so freaking seriously all the time???

Ellen Degeneres posted this picture on Facebook:
And everyone starts freaking out. I mean, 80% of the comments are things like "That's not funny Ellen!" "That poor dog is being attacked by that raccoon!" "This has to be fake, no one in their right mind would let a raccoon do that to their dog!" "That dog is not ok! He's in a totally submissive pose!"
Only about 10% of the people are smart enough to realize "Hey, in some states it's legal to have things like raccoons and skunks as pets, it's probably just a pet" and "It's probably a pet, so it was raised with the dog, if he was really in trouble either he would fight back or the owners would take care of him."
And the other 10% are like me and just think it's a funny and cute odd animal friendship. And we therefore agree with the first [read as smart] 10% who isn't blinded by the stupidness of PETA. Ugh. Even just typing those letters makes me want to gag. Now don't get me wrong, I'm totally against animal abuse and I agree with the majority of the ideas that PETA is built on, but they do stupid things that really just makes people hate them.

ANYWAY:  This dog is not being hurt people! If the raccoon was actually attacking him, I can assure you the owners would not have gotten close enough to take this picture, and it would be a lot more graphic. Heck, DOGS PANT WHEN THEY'RE HOT PEOPLE!!!!! HE IS FREAKING PANTING! DO YOU UNDERSTAND MEEEE?!?!!

Now. Stop being so freaking serious all the time. Seriously, it's seriously annoying. I mean, seriously people. Seriously? Why can't we just look at a picture and laugh without having all these seriously annoying serious people from PETA and crap?

EDITORS NOTE: I agree with PETA on this: Abusing animals = BAD
I disagree with them on this: Hunting animals = BAD and Fur = BAD those two things have kept the human population from dying out. I have nothing against vegetarians and vegans, but those are alternative lifestyles that until modern times would not have been possible. Now we have access to food that grows on the other side of the world and synthetic fibers. But back before Walmart and Burlington, people had to hunt to get food for the winter and to have warm coats. So I therefore support the things that have kept humans alive for ages. I do, however, feel that hunting needs to be regulated because humans have been known to wipe out populations. Did you know that there was a giraffe like animal in North America before humans came from Asia and killed them all off?
Oh, and fur can be quite tacky. But if I were living in Alaska or Antarctica (I'd work at the post office), you better believe I'd have a fur coat!

Ok, so PETA and I have like ONE thing in common...

End of Spring Break

I'm ready for it to be over. It was fun and all, but I need to see people.
Tomorrow is the first day back to school, and I'm so happy that it's finally here! I don't think you guys understand, I NEEEEEEEEEEEED to see people. And it gets me away from  my dad's house during the day. It's not really the house that I want to get away from...it's the people. I like being in a house where everyone knows that it really truly is possible to quietly close all of the doors in the house. And where the couch is comfy. And where it's ok if I feel like laying in bed for most of the day and listening to music. Or having a pajama day. A place where 9 year olds understand that it's PERFECTLY FINE if you go play by yourself, and it is NOT perfectly fine to say "I don't get it" after about 90% of the commercials on TV. If you don't get it, fine, but I don't care. And dang it! I LIKE watching Bones and House and CSI and all of those other grape-jelly-and-rubber shows while eating dinner! If you don't, too bad because it's a new freaking episode and I'm going to effing watch it!

*SIGH* Ok....vent done. Now I'm going to be excited about tomorrow.

YAY!!! I get to see friends again, and people I like, and people I LIKE, and even the people that I want to punch in the face!!!!! And it's a b-day, which means French class (XD) and Biology :)...and math :C< But that's ok!
So what good things happened over spring break? Well I got my semester 2 job shadow done. I shadowed/volunteered for a few days at a police station. It was pretty awesome. I got to do a ride along with 3 officers. The first ride along was ok...nothing really happened. Then the second guy was the local student resource officer (yes, I said THE local SRO...it's a small town) and he also showed me some pictures of when he went to France. He was a fun and nice guy. Then the third guy (who has a mysterious southern accent and no one has any idea of how he got it) showed me pretty much all of the speed traps and told me some funny stories. Then he arrested a guy. That was exciting.
I also did some work around the office such as stamping dates on files, rearranging their bulletin board so that you could actually see the majority of the papers, cutting my finger--uh I mean old tape recordings.
Oh, and I got my prom dress and shoes! So excited for prom! Now I just need to survive the SAT O.O

So yeah. I'm kinda glad to be going back to school. Actually, it wouldn't be like this if I had spent the WHOLE break at my mom's... but yeah.

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Well, that didn't last long.

Yeah. No. The interactive templates are just....I don't know. They seem TOO modern and they are just...not as cute. So back to this template. But new background :)

OH NO! I'VE LOST MY TWITTER BIRD :'''(

New Setup

So I'm really looking for some feedback on this. If you are even just passing through, please oh please give me some feed back! I'm not sure how much I like the dynamic layouts. They are pretty cool but I'm just not sure.
And I no longer have the twitter bird (super sad face) but you can go to the twitter page by clicking on "Twitter" at the top of this page.
Oh, and you can change how it looks. The default is Timeslide but if you click on that drop down there are a few different options.

Note about twitter: I really don't go on there very often, it just posts whenever I post a new blog post on here. And it's linked to my youtube account so every time I like a video it will show up. So be warned, you may get spammed with like 30 French music videos one day. And I won't feel bad if you stop following me. There's only like three followers, so it's ok. I'll forgive you. I understand.

That's what friends are for....isn't that a song?

Is it? Because I feel like it is...

Anyway, I just realized how much I use my friend Gracie as a diary. She gets to hear all of my "funny stuff that happened in school today" even though she probably doesn't find most of it funny and is probably sitting there rolling her eyes because most of it revolves around my current crus--uh...*ahem* (Yes, I am refusing to call it a crush, long story.) And then of course she listens patiently to my fangirl moments about how Christophe Maé either broke his arm or hurt his shoulder (and I even made her look at a picture that Merwan Rim posted so she could see that Christophe's sleeve was clearly empty even though his jacket was done up) or about how so and so tweeted back at me or how cute Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr's little boy is (and despite all of this, I DO have a life!) yada yada yada.
And so, I'd just like to thank her for putting up with all of my ridiculousness and pretending that she finds it as funny/sad/appalling as I do!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU GRACIAS GRACIAS GRACIAS GRACIAS GRACIAS GRACIAS GRACIAS GRACIAS GRACIAS MERCI MERCI MERCI MERCI MERCI MERCI MERCI MERCI MERCI MERCI MERCI MERCI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So "That's what friends are for" IS a song, from Fox and the Hound, but I felt that this would be more appropriete because I hope that I never have to hunt Gracie down so that a hunter can kill her :) (and it sounded more like a love song :C< )

3/4 Ain't bad...Well really it's more like 3/3

So I'm TECHNICALLY following 4 French musicians on Twitter, but I really only claim to be a fan of 3/4. So, yeah. Well I've already posted about Pascal Obispo retweeting my tweet and Merwan Rim replying to one, but then the other night the third guy replied ^_^

So this is Quentin Mosimann:

Pretty cute, no? (Of course, I don't personally care for tattoos and piercings, but he somehow pulls it off...)

And anyways, the other night he posted this picture:

And I thought "Wow, his hair looks quite awesome." So I told him "@quentinmosimann I just though you should know, your hair looks quite awesome in that picture."

And he replied with "@mytwitterusernamethatisn'thi i didnt sleep yet..." Which I take to mean "yes, my hair does look awesome, and that's not even my bedhead."

So yes. Third successful tweet exchange with a French dude :)

P.S. I was just thinking about how it seems like French people are better at interacting with their fans on twitter and would like to say that it is not entirely true. Kris Williams (of Syfy's Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International) is great at interacting with people and has in fact retweeted me. Actually, she was the first person of note that interacted with me on Twitter ^_^ so thank you Kris!
And I'd also like to thank Dustin Pari for the Direct Messages. Another nice way to interact with followers, and it seems much more personal which is always welcomed :)

Yes I could have made each of these people blog posts, but the interactions happened so long ago that the exact in-the-moment excitement has been forgotten and so the posts would have less of an impact, in my opinion

P.P.S I dislike the new post making layout. Mostly just the fact that unless you press enter a bunch of times you don't have any extra space when you are at the bottom of the page. I like having that "bumper" zone of white. I guess that's just part of me being a bit claustrophobic. Others than that the new dashboard layout isn't too bad.

The cross out was added 10/22/12. To find out why, read the post posted on that date entitled "Umm...Ok?"

Gr.

If you say "golly" "gosh" "jeepers" or anything similar before posting a condescending and sarcastic post, I will kill you with my mind powers through the computer screen. It's one thing to be rude. It's another to use stupid and innocent sounding vocabulary to heighten your sarcasm. It irks me to no end.

One day...

I'm finally going to be able to say "Hey, I knew that guy BEFORE he was famous!"
You know why? Because my AMAZINGLY talented friend Addam is going to be on The Voice next season. He was INVITED to audition for it at the end of this month. There is no way he won't make it. He is sooo talented and such a sweet genuine guy. I really do hope he goes VERY far in the competition.
Tonight there was a concert at the school to help raise money so that he could fly down to LA for the audition. With all the people that came, he was able to raise $1,100!! And that was with $5 per person to get in plus any donations. It's so exciting to see people come together to support someone. There were people there I would have never expected to come. And it made me feel really good. Especially considering one of them was our  new class vice president. (For his and the president's campaign they actually came to the Drama class and asked us what WE wanted, since the performing arts always gets left out at my school. So it's good to know that they might actually follow through and give our people a little more support after all the support we give to the sports teams.) It's always nice to see people who don't normally go to performances like this, show up.

Just seeing a community in general come together gives you a great feeling.
Last year, a few weeks before school ended, a friend of mine was in a crash with his little sister. She died and he was in a coma for a while. It ended up leaving a pretty hefty medical bill for the family to pay. So about a week after school let out, the Drama department/club at my school put on a Variety Benefit Show. SO MANY people came! We raised over $7,000 for the family! It gives you the coolest feeling in the world when people come up to you and put a $50 bill into your donations bucket, or even $100 check! And seeing people scramble to dig out whatever money they have with them is such an awesome sight. Even when they do only donate 50 cents. It's just nice to see people give and then to see how it helps others.

It's days and nights like these that I'm so proud of the community I live in. Of course there's things that still need to be changed, but it's a start when people are willing to give whatever they have to help someone.
I hope you have a fantastic day/night and touch someone's life. Trust me, you will never feel a better feeling.

*Head-desk*

You know what I hate? When someone complains about something and then turns around and does it. Such as (NOTE: This example is going to be based off of many threads I've seen in online forums):
Person 1: *Introduces idea* So what do you guys think?
Persons 2-6 agree in some form.
Person 7: I don't think that would work...*lists reasons why they disagree with it*
Person 4: You don't have to be so rude! Gosh the OP was just sharing an idea!
Person 6: Yeah, it seems like whenever someone has a different idea everyone just has to go and shut them down!
Persons 2-6 agree with each other in some way that Person 7 was trolling.
Person 1: Thanks guys, I guess some people just don't like hearing what other people have to say. You know what Person 7, if you aren't going to be nice you can just leave! This is my thread and you don't have the right to take it over!
Person 7: *Thinking: WTFREAK???? O.O*

It's ridiculous. Especially when you have a thread that is OBVIOUSLY based on sharing opinions and all of a sudden it becomes completely one sided and if you disagree with the stronger side then you are automatically a troll who is just trying to get attention and you should leave the thread because you're worthless and no one likes you.

DEAR PEOPLE OF THE INTERNET:

  • If you ask for an opinion EXPECT OPINIONS OF ALL KINDS.
  • If you present an idea that will lead to different opinions SEE BULLET ONE.
  • If you start a thread with any deeper meaning or thought process put into it SEE BULLET ONE.
  • If you are just posting to share something you found out or you made something and wanted to share it....heck, SEE BULLET ONE.
Basically if you are on the internet you should be aware that there really truly are real people behind that screen. I promise you. They have brains that work and form ideas and opinions. I assure you. So please, realize this when you go to post something. I've gotten into the habit of adding "If any of this seemed harsh/rude at all, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it to come across that way." to something if I feel it was too straightforward with not enough lighthearted comments. Heck I'll add it even with a plethora of witty and lighthearted comments.

The point is...Karma. Yes, kids, I have a common theme today. Karma. If you are going to be a jerk, Karma is going to be a jerk (and so are all the people you come into contact with). So, don't be a jerk. And have a nice day.

...Which leads me to the song of the day:

Dear people with access to French cds.

You suck. Ok, not really. You rock. It's just that the French selections around here suck. And why am I especially rantful about this right now? Because Merwan Rim has a new cd due out on Monday (but it's already being sold in some stores across France...don't worry, he knows). And guess what? I can't get it. I mean I COOOULD order it on Amazon. But I don't like dealing with real-virtual money. Even in the form of gift cards. I guess I might cave in on this one though. He released the music to this one website so that they could play it and people could hear the entire cd....it's so gooood! And I used to be ehh about his voice because it's pretty high, mind you it's no where NEAR Christophe Willem's O.o, but it's so pretty...and clear. It's like glass. And he did a song in English. In English! Can you believe it? You wanna know what's even more surprising? His English is practically perfect. You seriously can't tell he's French when he sings in English! And some people you can, especially if they other wise don't speak a lick of it. And so, I've come to the conclusion that Merwan knows English pretty darn well. Where am I even going with this??? Ok...so yeah...he did a song in English and it's good...VERY good. And I mean, he's not a bad looking guy. He's like the kind of French guy that you would be very happy to meet at a club one night on spring break in Paris. Or whatever. You know what I mean? So either he needs to start singing more English to get his music over here, or Americans need to wake up and smell the café au lait!

Café au lait.

Merwan Rim.

I'll take both please!

I hate this.

Being sick sucks. My sinuses are all clogged up and so I can't hear very well and my head hurts. This morning really sucked. Even after two Nyquil and going to bed at 7:30 last night, I was still soooo achy. Stayed home today, but no matter what I have to tough it out tomorrow. I have a math test and it's the final day of notes before the biology test. So yeah, needless to say, missing tomorrow would suck.
But sadly, I missed the college fair today....I was really looking forward to that, but it just wasn't worth it.

Scariest thing ever!

Having to take all of your music off your phone/ipod/mp3 player and put it back on hoping it will all work out just fine. Well guess what, it did!!! So now that my phone has lost 50lbs (metaphorically of course), I feel much more at ease...although I kind of gave up on the organizing thing towards the end, but all that will take is making a few more folders. So no biggy.

Well...I hope everyone has a good...whatever.

OH! French tomorrow....and he'll be there so it will be a fun class :)

Sunday, February 26, 2012

Well then maybe you shouldn't review it.

So, I hate it when I'm on Amazon looking for some books to read and one of the reviews says "I DIDN'T GET IT--DON'T BUY IT, IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY" (mind you these are the books that cost like 99cents so I'm not sure what money they're talking about).
If you don't understand something, your opinion doesn't matter. I want to read a review by someone who understands the book enough to write an educated response. If you really think $.99 is a waste of money....well then, you really shouldn't be buying books. You should be saving your money. Even if you don't like it, IT'S 99 CENTS! It isn't going to kill your bank account.
And it's even worse when someone is like "I only made it through the first chapter." If you don't read the whole book, you shouldn't be telling people that it's a bad book. It's one thing to say "I couldn't get into it." It's another thing to say "I only read the first chapter and I think that this book is stupid and you would be stupid to buy it."

So reviews should be written by people who:
-Read the ENTIRE book.
-Understood the book.
-Don't feel like it's the end of the world to spend $.99 on a book.
-Respect that some people will think it's a good book, so therefore you shouldn't bash it. You can still give your opinion, but in a respectable manner.

Day Made. No, weekend--Scratch that...Month made.

My tweet:
"Exhausted, tummy hurts....but in other news it's the weekend! :D And it seems that @MerwanRim has been quite talkative."

@MerwanRim's tweet:
@paigenicoleO_O 😉

Now if only French boxes meant something to me.... :( So it's a win lose. But mostly a win.

New Background and Colors

So I was going to go with this really cool interactive layout, but it wouldn't let me have any sidebars. Which caused a problem because when I was trying to go to edit the sidebars and everything (mostly to get any links that I had in the links menu) and it wouldn't let me access that portion of the designing tab!! It was VERY annoying and frustrating. So I gave up and went back to this layout. I might take more time to get the other one to work (it WAS pretty awesome), but for now this is good.

YAY!!!!!!

Awwww yeah! Today has officially become awesome! 1,000 views!!!! I'm so proud of myself for keeping this up. Even if a lot of the views are just random people who probably never come back. But that's ok because I've kept something that is pretty much a journal.

Ok, so today was Valentine's day. Aaaaand no. I did not have a valentine :/ But I gave my friend a card that I made in French that said "Our friendship is marvelous and strange...I'm marvelous and you are strange!" So that was fun ^_^ And I did get some cookies and candy from friends. My mom tried to make my sandwich into the shape of a heart this morning...but she gave up haha.

So it was a pretty good V-day. Oh except I saw my test score....scary O.O (I got a C).

Playin' around with the layout

Don't be surprised if the blog completely changes over the next few days... Just a warning.

New poll :)

What are you doing this Valentine's Day? Is love in the air, or are you just treating it like a normal day?

Pour qui votes-tu?
How do you vote?

Today turned out....

Amazing. So this morning I was really nervous because I have NONE of my script memorized and I was tired and really didn't feel like dancing. But when I walked into dance our teacher told us she's sick and so we just watched Newbies. Which I really want to see. I wasn't really paying attention. None of us were. But it was a nice relaxing way to start the morning. And I got to play with--ahem--use this really cool thing to score some paper to make it easier to fold (for vocabulary foldables that she is going to have her classes do). It was such a simple task that it was pretty relaxing.
Then in Spanish we played musical chairs. I wasn't looking forward to it. But it turned out to be really fun!
Psychology was pretty boring...as always. Except when our teacher took a kid out into the hall and hit him with a stick (ok not really, but we were learning about different conditioning methods and he was using that as an example of punishment; they went into the hall and the teacher hit the stick against the wall and the kid "screamed in pain").
Theatre, was just awesome. We had to help our teacher with his homework by playing this game called "Click." What you do is you are in pretty big groups and you have to tell a story with freeze frames. They usually end in disaster just because it will make people laugh and it makes the ending obvious. So we spent the first bit of it discussing what our Click would be. We were all over the place. First he told us we didn't have to keep it confined to the auditorium, which opened up a TON of possibilities. So we were going to get some wheelchairs from the nurse and/or nursing class and have a wheelchair race. And then our teacher suggested that everyone has some type of disability. And then it went to being a special ed. class playing dodge ball and someone asked "What's the worst that could happen?" to which I replied with "We walk into the gym and the special ed. classes are in there playing dodge ball." So that idea was dropped.
We finally decided that we would be an unruly class who gets into this huge brawl whenever our teacher turns towards the board and we would be perfect angels when he's looking at us. It was pretty awesome. We were all dead in the end. My favorite part was looking at the pictures and in the first one we are all smiley, then we are all taking notes, then we are smiley again, then we are annoyed and making bored faces, then the fighting starts, then it REALLY starts, then we are back to being perfect angels...except for the fact that a bunch of people are in new seats :)

Oh, and I finished my book that I've been reading for like the last month. It was amazingly emotional. It's called The Secret Holocaust Diaries by Nonna Bannister. If you like reading history books/memoirs/books about the Holocaust, I highly recommend it.
Then I read another book (it was really short) that was such a nice quick read. It was about this little old lady who lives in China near this bridge that is thought to bring good luck. But because of the bridge's reputation there are a lot of kids who are abandoned there (their parents think that leaving their kids there will give the kids a better future), and so she always takes them to the orphanage. Well one day she sees this little boy and he is blind. Then in the two days that he stays with her they become pretty attached to one another. So a week after she takes him to the orphanage she goes to check up on him and gets really upset by how he's being taken care of. So then she becomes his foster parent. And it's just a really sweet story called The Bridge by Kay Bratt. If you are looking for a quick read, it's a good one to check out. But there were a few tiny grammatical errors, and one that bugged me where the author calls the old woman's daughter "Jing" which is the old woman's name. That was the only reason I didn't give it five stars.

FINALLY, Merwan Rim's new music video for "Mens-moi" came out today. It's a good one. I shall post it. And the song is really pretty. But the music video brings a lot of emotion to it and kind of hints at what the song is about. I'll also post a link to the lyrics with a trustworthy translation.

Lyrics: http://lyricstranslate.com/en/mens-moi-lie-me.html

So yes. It was a good day :)
_______________________________________________________________

Now backtrack to yesterday. In French class I learned that my teacher grew up in the same town as one of my favorite French singers, Pascal Obispo ^_^ So I tweeted about it. AND HE RETWEETED IT :O :D Now I know what you're thinking "How stereotypical teenager of you to get so excited over that" but you don't understaaaaaand! I had just been thinking about how weird it is to think that everyone in the world is connected by people they truly know (not just Facebook ''know''). Like, if you think about it, I know my French teacher, she knows a ton of people who live in her hometown. The chances of one of them knowing Pascal Obispo are pretty high. So hypothetically speaking, he and I share a link that is probably around 10-20 people long. Which is pretty small when you think about 1. I live in the US, he lives in France. 2. I'm an ordinary person, he's famous. So to have that close of a connection with someone like that is pretty amazing! [Not to mention that that means I can just add one to however many people connect us to find my connection to Christophe Maé :) I had to get his name in here somehow ;)] So just imagine how connected you are to you're favorite actor/singer/whatever! Just know the right people and it's like your entire world opens up.
Ok back to the retweeting, so in my opinion, that makes all other connection chains unimportant because he noticed one of my tweets which counts as an interaction between the two of us which means....OMG IT'S LIKE I MET HIM ONLY NOT! Ok, my fangirlyness is done...for the moment. Because I have some much sadder news.

So there's this kid...in my French class...and he used to sit behind me but now he doesn't because this stupid annoying freshman who can't shut her big mouth had to be moved so that she would shut up and just MAYBE (though I highly doubt it) get some work done. So now she sits behind me and poor *guy that shall remain unnamed* sits one seat over, in the midst of a gaggle of freshmen girls whose conversations really get on his nerves. Now it isn't that big of a move...but it's so sad :( He's like the only entertaining one in that class. I would get so bored if he wasn't there. And we always partnered up for the partner reads and games and such. And now I can't just discretely slip him the AP Bio homework when he asks for it (ok, maybe that one was a little dramatic, I mean it's only one seat over). But the fact is, I don't like change. I like him though.... :)

Song(s) of the day....French...

(My songs of the day will probably mostly consist of French songs because I don't listen to the radio so I'm way behind on popular US music...the radio is just too broad for me.)

Ok, the first one is a...you guessed it....Christophe Maé song. I've had it stuck in my head all day. So deal with it. But it's a really sweet song and he actually wrote it for his little boy, so the last few lines always make me think "awwwwwww." Well the whole song does really, but especially the last few lines.
I'll include the lyrics and a translation that makes sense (not google translate). I found this website where people who are fluent in different languages actually translate songs. You can post a song and request translations (with a free account) or just look up songs. They have a pretty big data base. It's called www.lyricstranslate.com. I highly recommend it. Ok, LYRICS:
French:
Mon P'tit Gars

Mon p'tit gars, mon confident
Je te vois mort de rire dans la cour de récré
Oh, et je te vois
Je te vois, bras dessus bras dessous
Auprès de celle qui t'éloignera certainement de moi
Et je te vois

English:
My Little Boy

I don't really have time to play with dolls
So my child, don't be mad at me
I will get that time back, I promise you
In the meantime, open the bottom drawer
You'll find in the back, well hidden
Some of my old soldiers
But be careful, you're not allowed to brake them
Those soldiers are watching over you

(chorus)
And I see you as a great warrior
Who doesn't shoot for fear of hurting
And I see you as a great warrior
Who roars of laughter in front of an entire army

I don't really have time to correct your homeworks
But my child, don't worry
If it's not perfect, I'll be there to erase
In the meantime, read this story
You'll discover the life of Tom Thumb
Who is afraid to get lost in his steps
But for you, there is no need to sow [basically "there's no need for you to worry about your future"]
I already did it, that's the way it is

(refrain)

For tomorrow I only wish for one thing
That you leave those soldiers
After all not that much
That you stay a good little boy

(refrain)

And I see you
And I see you as a schoolboy
Who doesn't fight for fear of hurting
And I see you
And I see you, my friend, my child
My little boy, my confidant
I see you dying of laughter in the playground
Oh, and I see you
I see you arm in arm
Near the girl who will probably take you away from me
And I see you

Ok. Next song. This song is by Captain Samouraï Flower aka Pascal Obispo. He is a pretty cool guy. When you see him he looks a little intimidating but then you hear him play the piano and sing these really sweet/melodious songs and it's like "hmmm...." But I really like this song. We've been working on translating and learning this song. It's pretty catchy. (I can't find the song on lyricstranslate so I'll translate from what we've learned in class. I'm pretty sure we learned the whole thing so...)
French:
Le Drapeau :

Sans étoile, ni couronne, ni fleur
Que dans l'air, flotte une même couleur
Couleur
Chants d'amour, chants de bataille

Il n'y a qu'une guerre à faire aujourd'hui
Aujourd'hui
Tous le même drapeau (x 2)

Un signal, un emblème vainqueur
Sur nos dérives et nos erreurs
Prends le monde et prends tes armes
Prends soin du lendemain qui arrive
Qui arrive
Cherche pas d'autres batailles

Il n'y a qu'une guerre à faire aujourd'hui
Aujourd'hui
Tous le même drapeau (x 4)

Avec moi et l'armée des fleurs
On rêve aussi du meilleur
Chants d'amour, chants de bataille

Il n'y a qu'une guerre à faire aujourd'hui
Aujourd'hui
Tous le même drapeau (x 2)

Chants d'amour, chants de bataille

Il n'y a qu'une guerre à faire aujourd'hui
Aujourd'hui
Tous le même drapeau (x 5)

Il n'y a qu'une guerre à faire aujourd'hui
Tous avec le Captain Samouraï Flower

English:
The Flag

Without stars, nor crown, nor flowers
That in the air, floats one same color [color here having the meaning of flag]
Color
Songs of love, songs of battle

There is only one war to do today
Today
All the same flag (x4)

A signal, an emblem of victory
On our drifts and our errors [drifts here meaning when you don't really know what you're supposed to be doing]
Take the world and take your arms [weapons, but not necessarily killing weapons]
Take care for the tomorrows that arrive
That arrive
Don't look for other battles

There is only one war to do today
Today
All the same flag (x4)

With me and the army of flowers
We dream also of better things
Songs of love, songs of battle

There is only one war to do today
Today
All the same flag (x2)

Songs of love, songs of battle

There is only one war to do today
Today
All the same flag (x5)

[This part is where the little kid sings]
There is only one war to do today
All with the Captain Samouraï Flower

The lyrics are a little weird if you just read them. But the video kind of explains it a bit more. It's basically saying that we need to come together as one world to protect our planet so it will survive for years to come.

Ok, these next ones won't have translations. I just like them. You might recognize a few people in them ;)

Ok, so those guys are Les Enfoirés. It's this huge group of musicians/actors/other people with influence in the entertainment industry who all come together each year and put on this fantastic show to raise money for this one charity. It's kind of like a bunch of live music videos. But they also make actual music videos for some of their songs. These songs are some of my favorites. Though in one or two, don't remember which ones, there are some voices that I don't really care for. But overall these guys are great!

-.-

SIGH. Don't you hate it when you find out that someone you...like...having in your life might be moving across the country?!?! Gahhhhhhhhh! :'( [Gracie, I haven't told you about this yet. So if you'd like more info....you know how to contact me]

Well, others than that it has been a good....how ever long ago I found this out. Oh, except for the freaking NRJs on Saturday. (NRJ music awards is a French music awards show.) Merwan Rim didn't win, even though he totally deserved it, and Christophe Maé didn't win, even though he also deserved it. Instead all of these people I don't care about won. Well, Adele (International Song of the Year for Someone like You) is pretty good...And Shakira (NRJ Award of Honor), too. But then they had to go and give the male Award of Honor to Justin Bieber. I mean really? In my opinion, he hasn't been in the business long enough! Sure it's nice to see newbies rise to the top...but he's just this little tween sensation. He should be getting Nickelodeon awards. Not and "Award of Honor."
HUFF. Well...that's my complaint for Saturday.

Hmmmm....Let's see....what else....Well I can't really complain much about today. Except that I have a math test tomorrow and have to have a scene memorized by Friday when I just got it today...Thanks Beets. Thanks.

I just can't wait for this week to be over. Actually, after tomorrow's test it shouldn't be too bad. Anything else that I've forgotten? Well if I think of it later I'll tell you.

Wednesday, January 25, 2012

Ugh...Why do they have to do this?

I hate it when you are listening to a song and it's really good and sounds great and then the singer hits a note that sounds awkward. It's like "la la la la la la lAa la." I always have a hard time deciding if I like the song or not afterwards.

That is all. For now.

Pinterest

So I'm trying out this new (to me) thing called Pinterest. It's kind of like flair boards were on facebook only you "pin" a picture to a board. As far as I know you aren't limited on boards and it's all free. So it's pretty cool. I haven't gotten much on it yet but I will include the link. It will also be located on the left hand side bar (<--) under the deviantart link.

WARNING: This might just be something that I use a few times and then never go back to, so sorry if you actually expect me to keep up with it haha. This is the longest I've ever kept up with any blog/journal thingy and I'm only at 70 posts (as of this one ^_^ yay me!), so....yeah.

ALP (French text speak equivalent of TTFN-- ta ta for now.)

PS. Speaking of ta ta for now...the other day in biology we learned about the TATA box. The A's aren't pronounced like the A's in "apple," they are pronounced like the A's in "ta ta." So it was kind of funny hearing our teacher say it...especially after someone had written "*Name of teacher* plays with boobies" (it was originally barbies). AAAAAAAANNYWAY.

ALP! ♥

EDIT: PPS. Haha, oops. Guess you need the link: http://pinterest.com/nikkylove/

Mmmmmm

You know what I want right now? Some simple yet authentic French food. There's this really great French bistro near where I live. And I'm craving their ham and swiss croissant. It's to die for. Can't wait til farmer's market this summer!!!!
Just looking at their menu online....you know how most places have "Soup of the Day"? Well they have that too, but for dinner they have "Poisson du Jour." That's right, I just said fish of the day.
And I really want some orange juice. Fresh squeezed. That includes pulp. I'm tired of the pulp free stuff we buy...it has this almost grimy texture to it. If it didn't taste like orange juice I wouldn't drink it.

Never thought I'd utter these words.

But what a sweet little freshman!! Ok so in the Dance I class (that I'm taking because I had an open and I've missed having dance) there are 7 students. And two of them are freshmen. One of them is a little...energetic/bubbly for my taste. Now there is nothing wrong with being bubbly but she annoyed me at homecoming so I'm still a little iffy about her. The other one is this sweet girl who was in my health class last semester and she was always pretty quiet. So needless to say she's on my "I Can Deal With These People" list. Well. Today she totally made it onto my "Awesome People" list. So we had just gotten done dancing with the guys and she and I are standing against the wall while everyone else takes their turn. And we were just chit chatting and she was talking about how it makes her really happy when she gets the moves down. And then she turned to me and said "You're really pretty by the way."
Best freshman. Ever. It completely made my day. I don't think she will ever annoy me. Ever.
It always feels good to hear things like that, but she's a really pretty girl herself so it makes it seem a bit better for some reason.

And then to add to my boosted confidence, (Note: Dance is first hour) as I was at my locker getting my coat to leave, another girl and I were chit chatting. And then she told me she loves my hair. Yeah, I'd say today definitely gave me a self esteem boost.

What class is this again?

Ok, first of all I'm going to clarify something.
I have three names in Spanish class.
Paige.
Página (My Spanish name which is pronounced Pah-hee-na).
Page (The French pronunciation of my name [Pah-ge]).

So I walk into Spanish class and my teacher says "Hola, Paige. Page. *insert show-off face here* Bonjour, Page. Ça va? Ça va."
Here's what I'm still trying to figure out, is this actually Spanish class? Because there's a lot of French that gets used in that class. And at very random moments. Like discussing ways to say hello and goodbye. In Spanish. And then it some how became ways to say hello in different languages.

But I have to keep reminding my teacher that every time he uses French in Spanish class it really screws me up. Though, because of that, I've gotten really good at speaking French in my head while writing the words in Spanish. Especially for "mais" (pero) and "alors" (asi que). And "il y a" (hay).

It's been a while...

Well, it's been a while. But not much has been going on. First week back to school was nice. Got to see those people I missed. Ummm...OH! Itunes US sucks. You wanna know why? Because Merwan Rim released a new song onto itunes and the US version DOESN'T HAVE IT. >:(
But that's ok. Actually, no it isn't. But I'm...*ahem* willing to look past it.
Umm what else...Oh, yeah, it's my birthday today (January 15). Another year...another...something or other. It wasn't that eventful. Except for the virus on my computer. But got that all cleared up. Stupid McAfee didn't pick up on it. But like I said, it's all better now. Golden Globes were pretty boring this year. But a HUGE congrats to Morgan Freeman. Love his work.
Let's see...what else...well I think that's it. You know, I did have another weird dream the other night. But I can't remember it. So that's not too important. *Crickets* Yup. I think that's it.

(Oh, by the way, this is Merwan Rim:)
(And this is Morgan Freeman:)
(And they both have great voices)

WOOO!!!

700 views!!! Yay!!!

*let the overly dramatic and tear-filled speech begin*
I'd like to thank all of those people who randomly come across my blog. And all of those people on the sims 3 site who clicked the pictures. And my loyal fans. And..and...and....THANK YOU WORLD!!! *sniff* *sob* *snot bubble*

Finally! (and some randomness)

After a nice long break I'm glad to be heading back to school tomorrow. This winter I learned a few things.
1. It's not winter without snow. It's just an extension of fall.
2. I need people. Like really need them. I got so bored not seeing people.
But hopefully tomorrow won't be too confusing with new schedules and all. I should only have one change. And unless the people who put schedules together decided to be mean and stick me in some useless class, I should just have an open period for 1A. But I will have to pick up my schedule tomorrow morning. Hopefully the lines aren't too long. Of course all of the info SHOULD have been on powerschool by now. But of couuuuurse not. >:(

Oh, and as of typing this post, I need one more visitor to hit the 700 views mark ^_^ I feel so accomplished!

Now I'd like to share a dream that I had the other night. It was interesting. And I really only remember a few tiny bits and pieces. It was at school. In a library. But definitely not my school's library. There was a celebrity interview going on. Christophe Maé was the celebrity. During the interview he didn't have much of an accent. But I remember it sounding more British than French. And I got really excited because...well...duh. Why do you think? ;) And I went to go get his autograph because I magically had a mini poster for him to sign. He seemed tired. Or annoyed. Or distracted. I'm not sure which really. It may have been a mixture of those three. But he gave me his autograph and I was all excited and then I noticed he had a tattoo on the inside of his wrist. It was like a small black loop shaped kind of like Ω but with the opening facing his fingers and the pieces on the bottom were a bit different. And in the middle it looked kind of like blue water... So I asked him what it stood for. And he said something about it representing how he allows his soul to be free and doesn't restrict himself or something like that. And then I felt really bad because in real life accents don't bother me and I would normally be able to instantly pick up what he was trying to say. But I guess the fact that he all of a sudden had an extreeeaaaamly thick French accent threw me off. So I like smiled at him for a second then said something to the effect of "ahhh." But unlike real life, I wasn't embarrassed for the rest of the dream. Though I was a bit right after that happened. And then I went and sat down and was all happy about getting his autograph. OH! I remember more. So then I was talking with these people and don't ask me who they were. But apparently the lady I was talking to was pretty important and was in a bit of danger. So she had to be taken to this special room upstairs and I was going with her and about 5 other people. These bad guys were looking for us or something. And we had to try and stay quiet but the other people would not shut up. And we were going to be stuck there for a few days.

And that is all I remember.
