I'm so bored...

So I kind of want to play Sims, but I don't want to because last week it started acting stupid and crashing and I don't want to go through the stress of losing a ton of progress.
I kind of want to mess around on photoshop more but I don't know what to do on it right now. I need new pictures. And a project.
I kind of want to go play Lego Pirates of the Caribbean Wii but last time I got stuck at this one part and I don't know what to do from there.
I kind of want to read but I normally don't read in the mornings because I'll get too distracted.
I kind of want to go watch Bones season 6 but I don't want to at the same time.

I don't know what to do.

HELP!!!!

I take pride in my photoshop skills...

No matter how simple they are.

I feel like such a fan girl with this one...I'm not usually like this. But I was playing around and this is what happened. Hardest part: lighting. Definitely. It looks pretty basic but I actually did a lot of detail work with the dodge and burn tools. Favorite part: I love adding things like paper clips or pieces of tape to give a picture the look of actually being a three dimensional picture.

I like this one...it's simple yet pretty. This picture was already gorgeous (thank you perfect weather) so I just did some dodging on the highlights, burning in the shadows and cropped out some of the yucky grey sky. And of course added the pretties. Hardest part: I was originally going to try and make the sky blue. As you can see it didn't happen. Favorite part: I like the gold feathers. And with the twine crossing over them it looks like they are being held there.

This one is so simple it's ridiculous. I was just playing around and used this one tool that I can't remember the name of. It lets you pick part of your picture and then it has preset fixes. I've always loved color against black and white. Hardest part: Getting all of the edges just right so that they don't look too photoshopped. Of course I'm now seeing parts that I missed. Favorite part: Like I said, I'm a sucker for color against b/w.

These are a bunch of inspiring quotes that are on this one wall at a memorial near where I live. It's a beautiful place and so peaceful. I decided to put all of these quotes into a collage. I did the colors to make them each stand out on their own. And I wanted to give the feeling that they are on a wall so I put the two with the top of the wall at the top, and the one with the bottom of the wall at the bottom. But I like how the tops don't meet. Hardest part: Sizing. I resized thousands of times, cut pieces out, squished and stretched over and over. And then I finally got it. Favorite part: They don't line up perfectly. It gives it a bit of an abstract look and isn't normally something I would go for.

Well...enjoy! And again, if you have any ideas for anything (frames, pictures, collages) leave a comment :)

Guess what!

I have photoshop now. Though, it's elements and the class I took last year was on CS...something. So it's a little different. I think the biggest difference is more on how it looks rather than what it can do. So I'll play around in it a little and maybe post some pictures that I'm proud of.

(By the way, I love doing frames so if you have an idea for one please leave a comment! ♥)

Merry Christmas 2011

Well, I guess I'm posting kind of late...but I couldn't really decide on what I wanted to include in this post.

I guess first I should say that I had an AMAZING Christmas. I hope everyone else did too. I got the two big things I wanted and got to spend time with my awesome family. How was yours?

The next thing...It has actually been one year. Christmas 2010 Grandpa left to spend the holiday with God. And even though we still miss him it's a lot easier to remember the good times compared to last Christmas. The holidays will always have a new meaning, but that just makes them that much more special. It really makes you realize how blessed you are to have the people that are in your life. I hope that everyone took just one minute on this glorious day to thank God or whoever/whatever you believe in for giving you what you have in life. You really don't know how lucky you are until someone you love is gone.

Miss you Grandpa Glenn! Merry Christmas everyone!

NOOOOOOO!!!!

The worst thing ever happened today. I used up my chapstick. Why is this the worst thing ever? Well, I'll tell you. When my lips get chapped I bite them and when I bite them I lick them and when I lick them they feel funny so I lick them some more. And it turns out that licking your lips will kill them faster than the winter wind (which we've had plenty of here). So now they are dry, they hurt a little, they are getting flaky, and they itch. I need chapstick. Pronto.

Blogs...so useful in so many ways...

...So this isn't very important but I felt that it should be said...I was scanning through my last couple of posts and remembered...THAT PICTURE IS ON THIS COMPUTER!!! WOOOO!!! Ok...now I shall go upload it to deviantart and then go watch a Christmas movie.

Psh. Who am I kidding...I'll totally be on the internet doing something for like the next hour. Or I'll just give up on the movie and go listen to some music. French music to be exact. I like listening to music in a different language. It really makes you appreciate the actual music and vocals rather than just the words. It's a completely different experience compared to listening to music in English.

Bring it on!

First wisdom tooth finally cut through.... Bring it on wisdom teeth...bring it on.

*And by bring it on I mean please grow in perfectly so that I don't have to get oral surgery. You know I don't like needles, no need for them to stick a knife in my mouth if you just grow in correctly without crowding the rest of my teeth. I didn't go through almost 3 years of braces just for you to screw it all up.

New look...again.

I like this one. It's clean. What do you think? (HINT: There's a poll ;) )

Well. This is depressing. And now I feel stupid.

Ok, so I just spent the last ten minutes trying to find a picture that I had made that I wanted to upload to deviantART. And I could. Not. Find it. So I was really starting to freak out thinking "Crap, what if it didn't save. What if I decided to just exit without saving? Why would I do that? That was an awesome picture!"

And then. As I was writing the title of this post. I remembered. It's on my other computer. I feel stupid. And relieved.

Thursday, December 15, 2011

And so it begins...

Finals week. Starts tomorrow. Then it's two finals a day until next Wednesday. I think I'll be ok....I started my French final yesterday and that was pretty easy. We were SUPPOSED to start our Spanish final today but because my class is so small my teacher thinks we'll be able to get the speaking portion completed in one class period. Tomorrow I have English and then we finish our French final. I think I'm most nervous for math. And a tiny bit for theatre because part of it is improve (which I don't like) and I don't know how that's going to work yet.

But I will DEFINITELY be glad when next week is over. Then it's just a few days until Christmas!!! Exciting, exciting.

School Plays

Are the most fun thing in the world!!! Had so much fun working the play last week, now it feels weird actually coming home after school. Everyone did great. And of course the after party was super fun!!

Can't wait til spring.

Another Amazing French Guy

This handsome young man is Grégory Lemarchal. In French class we describe him as the French Jessie McCartney. I personally find that to be completely untrue. Grégory Lemarchal is 10X better!!

So, what do you think?

Ok, time to break your hearts. He died. At age 23. From Cystic Fibrosis. Why do the good have to go so young? :'(

Drama Competition: THE RESULTS!!!!!!!!

You guys....I DID AMAZING!!!!!!! (Especially for my first time doing a monologue at competition.)
And ESPECIALLY considering I got my monologue about 11 days before competition.

For round one I got a 9/10 which is superior.
For round two I got another 9/10 AND I was in the top 3 best performances in that round (albeit I was the third out of top three...BUT STILL!! I MADE TOP THREE!!)
And for round three I got an 8/10 which is an excellent.

Surprisingly the one that I thought I went the slowest on I actually went the fastest on haha Guess I was a bit excited to be done with competition.

AHHHHH!!!! This makes me so happy and gives me sooooo much confidence. And I had really nice judges who gave me great tips. Well...the first judge didn't really give many tips....and she called my voice "very one level, until she warmed up." Which was because of my character, not just me. But oh well, if that's the one critique that bugged me then that's pretty darn good!!

Time to find a monologue for next year!! Sadly next year will be my last :( I'm glad that I've gotten to go these past two years though. It's so much fun! You truly see so many great people who are talented and just plain nice.

...So...8-10 more years of this? O.o

Why do I want to major in a science??? I'm having enough trouble with the electron transport chain and what NADH+ and FADH2 have to do with it. And of course there's the whole cyclic photophosphorylation and it's limitations and how plants overcame said limitations. -.-

Thankfully I'm only MINORING in Biology.

Planning it now.

Well. I've decided. In however many years, I'm going to France. And I'm taking my friend Gracie with me. And we are going to shop. And eat. And be annoying American tourists. And the first thing on our to eat list is this:

This, is the Maé. It is a chocolate covered creme brulee.

What's that? Why yes, it is related to my favorite/the world's hottest French singer/songwriter/stage performer Christophe Maé. Actually, his family owns Pâtisserie Martichon in Carpentras which is where one would find such a sinfully delicious masterpiece. Gracie and I are going to eat these. And not share. So ha. Ha ha.

We will also eat this:
No idea what it's called, but it's chocolate and it looks amazing.

I will also be taking the world's coolest picture that needs to be perfectly taken: Standing directly under the Eiffel Tower and looking straight up. That is on my bucket list. I NEED that picture. (Knowing me I'll take like ten of them.) Oh, and of course various pictures of the tower all lit up.

And then we are going to do some other stuff...Feel free to add any ideas in the comments!

...Wow...we need to start saving up...

Ghost Hunters Marathon!

All day today!!! Right now I'm watching probably one of my favorite cases ever. The Moss Beach Distillery. Not because of anything paranormal, but because of how pissed the guys get.

I recommend you watch the marathon. Right now. On Syfy.

...That is all.

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

So I have a bit of a problem with this video....

IT'S SO ADDICTING TO LISTEN TO! For me...maybe because 3 great guys...3 great voices...The Frenchiness... Not sure exactly.

*Sigh* I love listening to French guys talk....

Christophe Maé, Emmanuel Moire, Merwan Rim, all singing a beautiful song. Not to mention a pretty darn good intro by Christophe.

This is tagged as song of the day...so now I also have to include the song that I was actually going to have as song of the day.

Beautiful play, AMAZING LIGHTS!!!! ARG I'm so jealous of this stage. Not to mention all of the people who got to see the play live..... *grumble grumble grumble*
By the way, I'm pretty sure Monsieur (Maé) earns the best/coolest/omg that must have been the itchiest wig ever!!!! award.

Drama Competition: Results (Part 1)

So, IT WAS AMAZING!!!! I had sooooo much fun!!! Even though I had to wake up early and it was cold on the bus ride there (and back) it was still fantastic. It was a great time to visit with friends and see some other really great performances. I also saw an old friend....though when I say "saw" I mean it literally. Never did get a chance to say hi.
Of course it was nerve wrecking as you walked into each round, but I can honestly say that I was not the worst in any round. We have rules for the competition. There is a minimum and maximum time. In all three rounds there was someone who had a REALLY short piece. Although, when I glanced at the timer after my last round, I became a little worried because my piece was only about 6 minutes...5 is the minimum and that felt like my slowest round. So I might have been too short on the other two rounds.
During the entertainment portion we watched some really great pieces. My favorites were the Unemployed Unicorns ("Let's do a lift!" *guy lifts other guy onto his shoulder* "Lift me higher! Like in Black Swan!" ""I watched that movie with my mom! Such a great family film!""). Those boys were hilarious! And this one about physical changes that happen when you're going through puberty (STD section: "Ew! It smells like you have herpagonnasyphlaids B!!"). Oh, and a student written scene called "Behind the screens." Can't remember any specific quotes from that one, but it was great!

In the end, our school went home with 2 pieces moving on to state, and one piece is a backup. But the exciting part is that one of our state pieces was written by a student, and a 10th grader at that!

Drama Competition!!!!

Well, I found my monologue last Tuesday, and tomorrow I perform it in front of three judges. Excited but a little nervous. Though, I think I'll do pretty good. I FINALLY got a chance to perform in front of one of my teachers today. He said that I did really good and gave me some pointers to help out with movement and give the monologue a bit more power. Last ditch practice tonight before bed. Then up and at the school by 6:30 tomorrow morning. It's going to be a loooong day.

Wish me luck! (Only, please say "break a leg" and not "good luck.")

Monday, November 14, 2011

I am so confused.

So I found some more Christophe Mae songs...but they are so different. They are more...rap-ish. I don't like rap. But I like this. They aren't complete rap. But there are rap-ish parts in them. I don't understand...my feeling towards the music is so mixed up. It reminds me more of something that would be on the soundtrack for a movie. It's not bad. But it's so different from the rest of his songs that I've heard. They were all singer/songwriter style and this...isn't.
It's different. But in a good...hmm...it's different in that way that isn't bad or amazingly awesome.

Though, kudos to him for doing it. It really shows that he has more of a range.

New Look

If you've been here before I'm sure you've noticed the new look. If this is your first time...the blog didn't always look like this.

I'm trying out a new look. Not sure how I feel about this one. Might try out a bunch of them before I find one that I'm truly happy with.

Well. That's it for the night. Going to go memorize a monologue now. NIGHT ALL!!!!

(Oh! Just thought of a great post idea...well you'll all have to wait until next time now.)

Bones Season 7, Episode 2

This episode is awesome.
New intern. Baby's gender. Bones acting like Booth. Awesome body.

SPOILER ALERT
SPOILER ALERT
SPOILER ALERT

Ok, well. To start off. What a cool body. Half devoured by naked rats. Snake hiding in the lower half. And even better? The following quote is from the victim's husband: "I once saw her stick a 12 foot wiener in her mouth." No, she isn't a prostitute. She was a competitive eater.

Next, new intern. This Finn person...seems like an innocent southern boy genius at first...but I don't think it stops there. He has a criminal past. And it's not just a little joy ride here, a shoplifting incident there like he lets on. He attacked his step father with a hunting knife. Then, the step dad disappeared. DUN DUN DUUUN!!! I think that he is going to become an interesting character this season. Maybe even a...new villain? Ok. So I guess he didn't kill his step dad. And he actually seems like a pretty cool guy. So maybe he isn't the new villain.

BEST NEWS EVER!!! I WAS RIGHT!!! It's a girl!!!! Little Hodgins and Little Bones, sitting in a tree.... I am even more excited now. This is going to be such a great season!!!

Did I mention shocking but awesome snake up chuck?

SUCH AN AWESOME EPISODE!!!!!!

*Pulling hair out, throwing a fit, sharpening a knife while glaring at a picture of a particular person who shall be left unnamed* I'm mad. Can't you tell?

So. Today started out GREAT. Last night I exercised and stretched before bed and went to bed early. I woke up this morning and felt better than usual. School day was going fine and then BAM. Horrible day.
What happened, you ask? Oh, nothing much. I just found out that I REALLY can't trust one of my friends.

Ok, so drama competition is next Saturday. I've been fully memorized, ready to get blocking done and just polish things up. My "partner," on the other hand, is not. We've had this script for AT LEAST a month. If not two. My partner's excuse is that she "get's nervous in front of people" or "blanks out." I understand both of those. But if that's the case then why is it that she can't get through ONE run through when it's just the two of us with no one watching? Oh, that's right, because she's NOT MEMORIZED.
And as if that wasn't stressful enough, today our teacher told us that we have 2 too many groups in our category. SO NEXT CLASS all of the groups in that category are going to get up and perform our pieces in front of the class and he will pick the 4 groups that will go to competition. Guess who it's not going to be. If you guessed "you and your partner" you would be correct.

But it doesn't stop there, oh no. Now I have to find a 5-8 minute monologue and have it ready to go by next Saturday. Isn't that just lovely? Thankfully I've found one. Now I just have to start memorizing it.

ACT TWO

So I don't know about the rest of you, but when I ask a question such as "about how far is it to _________?" I just want a generalization. I DON'T CARE HOW I'M GETTING THERE. I don't care if I'm in a car, on a bus or on freaking roller blades. I DON'T CARE ABOUT TRAFFIC. It doesn't matter if the rest of the world is dead, or if they're all going to the same place I am. So when I ask such a question you should answer with "about _______ minutes/hours/days/weeks/etc." and then just SHUT UP. Don't say "but we'll be on a bus so it might be longer." Don't say "but there might be some traffic." And DO NOT get all pissy with me when I tell you "I don't care about that stuff. All I want is a general distance." I don't care about what you were "just say'n" or "just letting you know." All I want is a freaking generalization. Is that so hard? You seem to do everything else half way, why does something this simple need such a huge explanation?
And when I tell you that I don't care about all of that other stuff, don't continue to argue that you were "just say'n." I don't give a crap. Get it? Just shut up and I'll stop having to tell you that I don't care about all of the variables. Faster you shut up about it, the faster I do.

Oh, and the biggest pet peeve of mine when it comes to situations like this? Saying "OKAY! GOSH!" Because all that does is piss me off.

Musical addictions are healthy...right?

I'm addicted. To Christophe. *Sigh* It's not my fault his voice is so beautiful.

I think it's time to hear some Emmanuel Moire. I haven't actually heard any of his real songs. Just the ones from Le Roi Soleil. He has a pretty good voice.

Oh iTunes account...why did you have to go so soon?

Sunday, November 6, 2011

Hit list.

There are a few things currently on my hit list.
1. My computer mouse. It's dying. It's messing everything up.
2. AP Biology classes. They suck.
3. Youtube. It keeps freezing.
4. Facebook. When I type I don't want to see |  || | |   |
5. The person who invented daylight savings. Screw you.

BONES!!!!!!!!

So guess what tonight was? THAT'S RIGHT, WORLD!! BONES SEASON SEVEN!!!

Best parts:
Did you guys see that body? Oh my gosh! That was so gross when the eye oozed all of its eye goo...ewwww
Babyyyy Hodgins!!! Awww what a cutie!!!
I love how Booth always takes pictures of Brennan's embarrassing pregnancy moments XD

Worst part:
When the stupid news decided to interrupt! GAH! That was so stupid! I'm sorry news, but I really don't care about genetically modified produce when I'm watching Bones.

Things that made me go hmmm....:
Did anyone notice that Booth referred to the baby as "him"? Was it a hint? Or just daddy brain? Guess we'll have to wait...but I'm hoping for a little girlfriend for baby Hodgins ;)

All in all, AMAZING EPISODE! (DUH!)

Oh, and happy 30th post to me!! Furthest I've ever gone in a blog/journal thing. Ever.

Tonight's the night!

Well, today's the day!!!! Finally after what seemed like forever, BONES RETURNS!!!! I have a feeling this will be an absolutely fantastic episode and the start to a great season. There are two things I'm looking forward to more than anything, babies and villains.
Last season Angela and Hodgins had their baby, so hopefully we'll see more of that little guy. And of course Booth and Brennan's little one.
It's been a while since we've had a really good villain, and I've heard rumors that this season will have a very exciting bad guy.

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

Awwww

(Yes I know I just made a post about this garçon the other day, but I couldn't resist. This is such a sweet song.) *Could not find a perfect translation, but it's basically about how much he loves his mom.

Again, with Christophe, even if you can't fully understand it, it's a good song.

i jus losed lyk hlf mi iqu

so i rly shldnt luk at dis stuf cuz it totly mezes up mi brane
stupid trolz

http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/listByUser/1379531.page

Oh gosh, I think I might have actually used too many letters....O.o

Wish me luck!! The next month is going to be CA-RA-ZY!

Ok, so today I turned in an essay to hopefully win some money, and maybe even a $30,000 dollar scholarship, yes I really did mean to put four zeros behind that three. It's through the Veterans of Foreign Wars and I had to write an essay about whether or not there is honor in serving in the military. I then had to record me reading it and put it on a CD. Check, and check! All turned in, now just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
Last Friday I tried out for the school play...to tell you the truth...I'm not sure if I want the part. I kind of like just being back stage and bossing people around. STAGE MANAGERS......UNITE!!!! But if I get the part I will be very happy...but don't wish me luck on getting the part, please.
Then, on the 17th my school is having the variety show. The drama club/advanced class will be putting on a live performance of Ludo's Love Me Dead music video. (Good song by the way.) I'm kind of a stage manager for that (thanks Mr. Beets....-.-) but I'm not sure how much managing I'll be doing as it's maybe 3 minutes long haha
THEN on the 19th we have drama competition...O.o Hopefully my partner will be all ready to go that day. Just the two of us...she has worse stage fright than I do, and THAT's saying something.

But wait, there's more!

I have to write a four page (double spaced so it's really not very long) science essay. By the end of the month. PLUS I still have to type up my job shadow. Oh joy.

But I'm sure in between all of that stress there will be some fun. (HINT HINT GRACIE. HINT HINT.)

*Dies* Oh la la!

Well I haven't posted in QUITE a while because I really haven't had anything to post about. But I've found something, or rather, someone.
This lovely, lovely, LOOOOVELY man's name is Christophe Maé.
What's that? You've never heard of him? Well you likely don't live in France. And neither do I. Which is why, up until now, we have all been sickly deprived from his hottn--ahem, voice. Ok, yeah, we have been pretty sickly deprived from his looks too...BUT THIS BOY CAN SCAT! Did I mention he plays the harmonica? Yeah, that's right. The HARMONICA. Who plays the harmonica these days? This guy, apparently. So let's see...he's very good looking, he has an amazing voice, and he plays more than one instrument (the two that I know of are the guitar and harmonica). So what's missing? Oh...right...he's taken :(

Well, we can still enjoy everything else about him, right?

The following is an amazing play list (if I do say so myself) of some of his songs: If you have low bandwith and youtube takes FOREVER to load, search for the titles of the song, such as "Christophe Maé Dingue, Dingue, Dingue" and then find one that isn't the official video.

Now, I should warn all of you people out there that don't speak a word of French, his songs are in French. But I encourage you to listen to them because even if you can't understand a word he's saying the music is GREAT!

And so I give you...CHRISTOPHE MAÉ!!! *music begins**swooning ensues*

Oh gosh! You poor confused people, I forgot the link! http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL047A868B9C8819E5&feature=mh_lolz
Heh...lolz...

Pottermore

I recently received my welcome letter! I was so excited I felt like I was opening an acceptance letter to Hogwarts itself! I've already started going through it and.....well it leaves a lot to be desired. It is pretty cool but it seems a little basic. I do love how there are different levels on each screen and you can zoom in onto each one. But there aren't many interactive objects, and there is NO music. The music was a big disappointment. We all know the famous Harry Potter theme, but that was left out. For a moment I thought I heard some sounds, and then I realized my headphones were "weeking" (a term used in my family to describe guinea pig sounds, it's like a "wheek wheek").
The illustrations are magnificent! But there is so much more that can be done. Hopefully changes will be made within the next few months.

WRITTEN: 8-26-11
I didn't release this upon writing it because I didn't want to give anything away, or discourage anyone.

LATTER THAT EVENING...

OMG! I was so wrong! Ok, well not totally wrong, but quite wrong. The first few chapters are very boring and there isn't much to do. Then you start getting to collect little things. THEN you get to Diagon Alley and that's when things start opening up and becoming more interactive. Then once you get to Hogwarts you get sorted into a house. Your house will become very important as you and the other members of your house will earn points. You earn points by doing a ton of different things. The things that can get you the most points are dueling and making potions. Both fun, but both need LOTS of practice. You can also lose points. So be careful.
I love the potion making but it takes FOREVER for the potions to brew. Spell casting can be difficult. If you are a hunt and peck typer then spells will not be your forte.
The chapters themselves go through bursts of really interactive to very little interactions. But always keep your eyes peeled. You'll start off with 500 galleons, you can find more in various chapter. You can also find some potion ingredients that are VERY expensive to buy. You can also find chocolate frog cards. Finding the collectibles can earn you 1 pt each.

I'm quite impressed. Can't wait for Book 2!!

Added November 1: OMG I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THIS!!!! Fly my pretties! Hehehehehe *logs into pottermore*

I think my brain just died.

So, I was on a forum. And there is this STUUUUUPID troll. I know it's mean to call people stupid...but it's not my fault she's a b-word who doesn't even attempt to spell and just tries to start fights. She seriously needs to be slapped....Sadly Steve Jobs died before he could invent a computer that you could reach through and slap people. :(

I'm not going to taint my blog with her stupidity.

Although, here is a link to all of her posts: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/listByUser/1379531.page

CONGRATULATIONS EMILY!!!

Our beloved Emily Deschanel is a new mommy! She had her little boy Henry last Wednesday, September 21.

CONGRATS! You will be a fantastic mom Emily!!

In other news...I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW SEASON!!!

Thursday, September 15, 2011

Well.

I haven't posted in forever because of school. And let's just say this year has been awesome! Lots of work, but really good.
I am looking forward to so many things coming up in the next month. Homecoming is coming up on Oct. 14-15 and the drama club is going to have an AMAZING float!
The new Sims expansion (Sims 3: Pets) is coming out on Oct. 18. CAN'T WAIT!
And because school is going so good I have a feeling this next month is going to be just as good as it has been.

Can't really think of anything to blog about. Maybe I'll find something interesting soon.

Lame/Odd/Not funny jokes my teachers told in school today.

Health Class:  George and Georgetta were a very frugal couple and they hated spending more money than they thought necessary. So when George died Georgetta decided it would be nice to put an obituary in the paper. She called up the newspaper and asked how much it would be. The man told her they started at $25 and went up from there. So she said "Ok, well I'll just go with the $25 one. I want it to say 'George is dead.'" And then the man told her "Well for $25 you get 6 words." So she said "Ok...'George is dead, Toyota for sale.'"

Psychology: (Teacher's name is Mr. Snow) "It's so hot in here, I better open the door or Mr. Snow might melt!"
"I thought about being a dentist, but I thought I wouldn't have the patients."

I'm sure there were a couple of cheesey ones in Spanish and Theater. But these 3 were the ones that made me think "Facepalm!"

All in all, a great first day of school. OH! And there is a kid in my Spanish class with the last name of Booth. Win? I think so! (Although, he is NO WHERE CLOSE to Booth's hotness.)

Grammar Nazi Fail.

Found this while skimming a forum:

(Background info: Apparently two of the people were arguing about something extremely stupid, which was really just a misunderstanding caused by someone not being smart enough to figure out that there is a quote button. Then another person was telling them to stop arguing and get back onto the real topic. Personally I think that person had every right to tell them to stop arguing.)

 *Names are being dotted out.

First Arguing Person: (After saying rude someone thought he was talking to them and he still hadn't figured out the quote button and said this) Not you. B...... & his spamming link.

Second Arguing Person/Grammar Nazi: Exuse me You know you can get reported for this beacuse this is getting annoying.
G.... 1 page back you said of with this topic. Know this is getting on my nerves!!!

Sensible Person: JUST STOP ARGUING and lets talk about setra*. I love the suberbia part of the city, and the china town.

*Setra is a city that the creator of the thread is building, it's the topic of the thread.

Second Arguing Person/Grammar Nazi:
Listern m.......! to start with this is nothing to do with you! Furthermore i said of with this topic and you are just getting involved making matters worst. And you cant tell anyone what to do or get involved in anyone elses buisness beacuse you are not very good using your grammer correctly and you are just looking for trouble!
Lets END this topic NOW whilst you this is getting many people angry!!!!

Ok, now let's count the mistakes in Grammar Nazi's posts. I counted about 12.
How about Sensible Person's post? 2. One was a capitalization error and one was a misspelled word. I also looked at his next post and saw maybe one error and all that was was a missing comma. Missing comma or 12 spelling and other grammar errors. Who do you think has the grammar problems?

Why it's important to read the entire question.

Have you ever asked someone something through a text/email/IM and they only answered part of your question? Or worse, they decided that the background info wasn't important and so they give you an answer that you already know isn't correct? I, for one, find this VERY annoying. When a person asks a question they want an answer, yes, but they also want a correct answer. You can't give a correct answer if you don't take the time to read all of the details.

The most recent example I've come across was in a forum for a game...Ok, I might as well say it: The Sims 3. The asker wanted to know if they could find an item from one of the expansion packs WITHOUT said expansion. This was clearly stated in their original post. And then someone tells them "Oh, you can find that item in buydebug mode." Yeah, they could, if they had the expansion for it. Now I don't know if this person truly thought that the asker had access to the item even without the expansion, or if they were just too lazy to actually read the post. But I'm betting they were too lazy to read the post.

Ok, now for those of you who the above example made absolutely no sense to:

"Hey, I'm trying to find a new book and I've looked EVERYWHERE for it. I've checked Walmart, Target, Borders, Barns and Noble, Hastings, EVERYWHERE. Do you have any idea who might be carrying it? It's already been released. It's called Kaps in Kopper*."

Bad answer: "Have you checked Walmart?"
Really bad answer: "Haven't heard of it but I know that Borders has like every book ever made."

Now why are these bad answers? Hm, lets see. "I've checked Walmart, Target, Borders, Barns and Noble, Hastings..." See it now? The asker already stated that they checked those two places. So you are just being annoying and wasting their time.
But what happens if you HAVE seen it at one of those places? Just say "I saw it at Target, maybe they sold out. I would check back again next week." What makes this a good answer? Because you SAW the book there. You KNOW that it was there at one point.
What happens if you have no idea what they're talking about? Don't be annoying and comment on something that you don't know anything about. Saying things like "What's that?" or "Huh?" just make you sound idiotic and kind of rude. Just say "Haven't seen it anywhere." Or if you want to be nice you could say "Haven't seen it yet, but I'll keep an eye out for you."

Maybe some stupid answer givers will see this and learn, READ THE WHOLE QUESTION FIRST. Or face looking like an idiot.

*Not a real book.

I hate it when...

I hate it when I think too much at night and then I can't sleep.

I hate it when my computer decides to randomly allow a porn pop up.

I hate it when you are online late at night and you'd really like to talk to a specific person and they are sleeping.

Legos!!!

So when I was younger I loved Legos. My grandma had the bigger ones, in fact I don't even know if they were actual Lego brand, and my cousins and I would build towers all the way up to the ceiling! Or at least until we ran out of blocks...and that sound they made when they came crashing down, who doesn't love that sound? (I'll tell ya who, Gracie, that's who. Because she hasn't experienced the wonders of Legos.) We would make little cities or old tombs for our little Lego people to explore. Sadly this particular set didn't include any cars so we would normally build our own and pretend they had wheels. Until, that is, Grandma bought some new Legos that had cars and animals! That was our favorite toy to play with because everyone could be involved. We would all layout a basic (VERY basic) foundation, dubbing random blocks the "toilet" and "stove."

Then I got older and moved away from Legos a bit and more into Barbies and other dolls.

But now...OMG! There are so many different types of Legos!!
Now, I know what you're thinking. "You're old enough to be keeping a blog and yet you still play with Legos?!!" Yes. I am a teen who likes Legos. Because in my generation, for some reason all of the things that were cool when you were five are just as cool now. That and who can't resist exploding Spongebob's pineapple?

So tonight my step sister and I convinced my step mom that we needed a new board game. But when we got to Walmart there wasn't really anything interesting. My step sister is 8, so she isn't into the whole trying to guess a phrase thing that most group games are now days. We did consider Twister, but then we realized there is absolutely no where to set it up in our house. So we started looking at the other toys. Of course the cheap loud toys caught our attention and we were mildly entertained by that. But then we turned a corner and...There it was. The Lego aisle. Did you know they have entire Lego cities now? I certainty didn't!! There is this massive (for a Lego set it was massive) Police Station....we were in love. Only problem? $100. Sooo we decided that's going on the Christmas list. There were a bunch of vehicles. Some police vehicles, an awesome fire truck, this AMAZING air port!!! And a really cool police boat that looks like it floats in water...we weren't sure though. There were also Lego Creator sets. Basically it's 3 sets in one. My favorite one of those sets was the lighthouse. It could be a, get this, WORKING lighthouse, a boat launch station/dock, or a whale watching building. My step sister was in love with the Lego seagulls it came with (she has this thing for seagulls, I don't get it). And then we saw the ALIEN stuff!! My favorite one out of that collection was the UFO that was abducting a little farmer guy hahaha And there was also a brain sucking alien in one of the sets! (Ok, so I'm sure it's called something else, but it sure did look like he was sucking the guy's brains out.)

We had so many choices we didn't know what to get! We finally decided on the Police boat and the rest is on various birthday and Christmas lists. (Thankfully my step sis's birthday is less than a month away. We're hoping for the Police Station and Criminal Transport Vehicle as we realized there was no where to put the bad guy after we caught him.) We also told my step mom to buy herself and my dad one for their birthdays and then just give it to us.
Oh, we also left the store with some Play-Doh and a word scramble thing that my step mom wanted.

When we got home the real fun began! We cleared off the coffee table to have a good construction site that would hopefully make it easier to not lose any important pieces. When we took the hull of the boat out we discovered it was in one piece. Which is both good and not as good. It's good because it means it's water tight and should float. It's not good because that's like an hours worth of fun building time. We started constructing our boat and everything was going great. Until dinner time. We only had about a handful of pieces left but we had to stop. Then right after dinner was swim lessons for my step sister. I went along so I wouldn't be tempted to finish the boat. We completed our build and got a little play time in before bed. Can't wait to try it out in the tub tomorrow! It came with 3 people, 2 cops and 1 criminal. Two little hatches that will open up, one of which is big enough for the jet ski. Two life vests and some scuba gear, and of course the jet ski. I for one, think this definitely constitutes as a fair and amazing Lego pack. Now if only we can complete the town....

Here are some pictures of mentioned sets and possibly unmentioned, but still mention worthy, sets:

The 3-in-one Lighthouse/Whale Watching/Boat launch set
Our Police Boat- Isn't it epic??
Isn't this the coolest Police Station ever??? There is even grass!!!!

The one-eyed thing is the brain sucker.

I love Legos. Plain and simple.
No it has nothing to do with Bones but it seems more people read my other posts if I tag Bones in them. If you don't like it...TOO BAD >:)

Sarcasm and the Internet

Sarcasm doesn't travel well through text. Plain and simple. But here are some tips to help:

1. Be obvious with your sarcasm. When talking the tone is the obvious part, but when you type you can't really get your tone across. Use formatting to your advantage. Underline, italicize, or bold certain words to get it across to the readers that you are being sarcastic.
Ex: I'm just so excited to be going back to school.

2. Use emoticons. Even though not all websites have animated ones you should at least know how to make a smile or a wink.
Ex: I'm just so excited to be going back to school. ;)

3. Saying "haha", "jk" and "lol" may seem cliche, but they lighten the tone of your post.
Ex: I'm just so excited to be going back to school. hahahaha

4. Don't be too serious. When talking to someone you can act serious with your sarcasm and it will still come across as sarcastic. But on the internet it's a lot better to be silly with your sarcasm.
Ex: Oh yes, everyone just loves going to school so much!

Anti-Ex: Person 1- The people at my school are really nice.
Sarcastic Person- Oh, so I'm mean now.

As you can see in the anti-example, accusing someone of calling you a name is way too serious to come across as sarcastic. It will just cause confusion and an argument. (Believe it or not, I've seen this.)

5. Combine tactics!
Ex: I just love it when I have to get up at 6 am! ;) lol

Using these simple 5 tips I'm sure you'll be avoiding forum fights and comment flames in no time!

And to make this related to Bones:              V King of Sarcasm right there, folks.
"Why would a gang leader cooperate?"
"I'm gonna ask him really, really nicely, Bones."
"You know that book I'm reading about getting along with your co-workers? It says that sarcasm is never helpful. I can lend it to you if you want."

First Impressions.

First impressions are REALLY important especially when you are talking person to person. But what about your first impression of a store. Are you the kind of person who will have one bad experience and then never go again, or do you give them a second chance?

I personally will give a place a second chance purely because in a store setting you are dealing with different people almost everyday and they are always putting new products on the shelves. I do understand if they don't carry a brand that you don't like, but when you start comparing to another store when they carry the EXACT same brands, are you being too harsh?
I know someone who will have one bad experience and just never want to touch the place with a ten foot pole ever again. I personally think she just needs to put the past in the past and give things another shot. Especially when you are talking about a store.

One thing I really don't like is when people will compare two different stores by saying "Well such and such place has this and the other place doesn't." Um, have you actually looked? This place has that and MORE. Of course everyone has different preferences when it comes to shopping. But I still think that just because you have one bad experience you should give the place another go.

It's like food. Just because you have a bad steak at one restaurant doesn't mean you hate steak. It just means that place doesn't have that great of steak. If you have a bad experience with one store clerk or one brand, it doesn't mean that store is the worst store in the world. You should still try it again.

Ok, worst analogy ever. But you get my point.

Cute or creepy?

As I was skimming through some pictures on Google, I came across a picture of a baby in a highchair with red hair. Now something was off about this baby. Let's see if you can spot it:

That's right. That "baby" is a doll. But what I found really odd was that it wasn't a little girl's baby doll. But an adult woman's doll. Now I'm not saying this is wrong and unnatural, as the mothering instinct is very natural for women, but is this going a bit too far?
I went to the website that this picture was from and it was a forum of other people with similar dolls. They are known as reborn dolls.
Some of the dolls are actually quite adorable, but I can't see them as being used as anymore than for photography.

So, what's your take on it? Cute, or a little too out of the ordinary?

Monday, August 1, 2011

Well, it's here.

So it's August. Starting this month students are going to be going back to school.
I'm looking forward to this school year. Hopefully it will be full of fun and surprises. But the thing I'm not looking forward to is the early mornings and the school food. Yuck!
I have a feeling that this school year is going to by very fast, just like this summer did. I have mixed feelings about that. On one hand, I can't wait to graduate. On the other hand, graduation means change. Friends will be moving out of state to go to various colleges, we will have work to worry about, and money becomes a bigger thing.
I'm looking forward to the school dances and being with my friends. I'm looking forward to meeting another exchange student. I'm looking forward to *hopefully* having great teachers.
I'm not looking forward to the tests and drama. I'm not looking forward to the stuck up snobs. I'm not looking forward to English class. I'm definitely not looking forward to having to change my schedule.
Maybe I'll get lucky and I'll be able to take both Spanish and French, contrary to what I've been told in the past. Maybe I'll get lucky and there will be some new cute, nice and smart guy. As apposed to the majority the guys.

Well, I hope everyone else is just as excited/nervous/impatient for this school year to get started! Let the countdown....BEGIN!

Shout-Out

Hey, Gracie, look here:

And I guess this can also be a shout-out to any English readers.

Why do people do this???

Ok, I'll admit that I like to read celebrity gossip online. But if I don't like a celebrity, I won't read the articles about them. That's sane and logical, isn't it?
What I've been noticing a LOT this year is that more and more people are reading articles about celebrities just to complain about it. It will be some little article about a celebrity baby and a ton of comments will be things such as "I'm so tired of hearing about this family" "this isn't news! I want real news!" And what really gets on my nerves is when people say the celebrity is annoying because they always say the same thing. Take for instance, Miranda Kerr. She had a baby boy (beautiful little guy!) back in January and so interviewers were asking her what the experience of childbirth was like. She gives ONE answer to ONE interviewer and everyone else takes that interview and quotes it in their articles. Then all of the comments are things such as "I'm so sick of her! She isn't the only woman to ever give birth!" or "She needs to shut up about this, we don't care how hard it was!" Really people?!?! Are you so blind that you don't realize that the EXACT same words are being quoted in hundreds of articles???
And back to the "this isn't news" thing. If you want real news, WTFreak are you doing in the entertainment section??? Entertainment sections consist of movie stars, singers, models, and anyone else who is considered a celebrity. So if you don't want to read about them, go somewhere else.

And then of course there are the people who think they know how to parent eeeeveryone's kids. I recently read an article about a little boy at a baseball game who was upset about not catching a foul ball. The commentators were laughing at his little pouty face and so they gave him a ball. No big deal, right? WRONG (according to the "I knoweth all" people). About 85% of the comments were horrible and nasty things such as "Now he's going to grow up to be a spoiled little brat!" "That kid needs to be spanked! I would never allow my kid to act like that!" Nobody realized that the kid was just lucky. Is it such a horrible thing to be lucky?? I highly doubt the majority of those commenters even watched the little video clip that was attached. You can clearly see that once the boy starts to complain to his dad his dad puts a stop to it. Obviously these parents know how to raise their kid. The poor boy was only 7 or so, and just because he got lucky fun-killers-united ganged up on him. Am I the only one who sees THAT as wrong?

And don't even get me started on trolls and articles about babies. Has humanity sunk so low that it's acceptable to refer to infants as "fugly" and "ugliest little brat I've ever seen"? They are babies! (Although, something in me is telling me that most of those people are guys...in which case it's sad that they are even reading about babies.)

Pssssssshhhhhheeeeeewwwwww. Felt good to get this off my chest.

I mean really, who could call this little guy ugly?

Two Great Movies

Two of my favorite movies are Patriot and Glory. They are both based off of wars, but unlike a lot of war movies, they show more than just fighting.

The movie Patriot takes place during the Revolutionary War and is about an everyday family man, Benjamin Martin, who is raising his 7 kids after the death of his wife. He and his eldest son, Gabriel, have completely different views on the war; his son wants to fight, while Benjamin wants South Carolina to stay out of the war. Both father and son end up being pulled into the war, for freedom and vengeance. I don't want to give away too much, but the sadistic acts of British Colonel William Tavington fuels Benjamin's anger throughout the entire movie. He and Gabriel put together a militia to help hold off the redcoats long enough for the French to arrive. All in all it's a great and emotional, history-based movie.

Glory, on the other hand, is about a young man fighting for the Union army during the civil war. A certain, Robert Gould Shaw. Any history buff will recognize the name. Shaw was appointed to lead the first all black regiment. The Massachusets 54th is made up of men who were, until recently, slaves and men who were born free. Together they prove that they can fight just as well as any white regiment and eventually lead an attack on Fort Wagner. Again, this is a great movie based on a real war, and real people.

Hmm...this was a crappy movie review so I apologize. But I don't want to spoil anything (as I've been known to do with books.....) And I urge you all to check out these great movies.

If you are ever stuck in.....

If you are ever stuck in the small town Weiser, Idaho you should definitely grab a meal at the Gridiron Bar and Grill. It's a nice little place with great food and a relaxed atmosphere. I've had their finger steaks, popcorn chicken, and the teryaki grilled chicken sandwich. All were AMAZING. The chicken is unbelievably juicy! And the batter on their fried stuff is not too heavy, but you can still taste it. Oh, and don't forget the fries. I don't know how they do it, but their fries are some of the best I've ever had. Especially the waffle fries. They are perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy. All in all it's a great little place to go. The one downside is...well really it's more of an upside...they aren't usually very busy. So if you are looking for a place with a lot of people....maybe try the Chinese place down the street. But if you want great food, definitely go to the Gridiron.

Fushigi!!

Ok, so I caved in and decided to buy a (as seen on T.V.) Fushigi ball. It really isn't as impressive as I expected. It's just a metal ball covered in a layer of clear plastic that is about half an inch thick. Although the illusion is pretty cool. You basically wave your hands around while keeping the ball in one place. It makes it look as if the ball is levetating. But it will definitely take practice. LOTS of practice.

Things that irk me.

First off, I would like to apologize for not posting sooner. I tried posting last night and then my computer decided to act up.

Ok, so not many things will get on my nerves very badly, but the one thing that I absolutely can not stand is when people get what they've been begging and asking for over and over and then complain about it.
I play this game that gets updated every so often because whenever a new expansion to the game comes out it brings bugs along with it. Well the latest expansion came out about 2 months ago and did give some people some pretty awful bugs, but the complaining was getting so annoying! The forums were filled with "when will we get a new patch" "this is dumb!" "I'm giving up on this game!" and so on. (Of course a lot of the problems could have been avoided if the players had followed the proper procedure to correctly installing a new expansion and or patch.) And the new fix-patch FINALLY came out today. And guess what. There are already people complaining that "the patch broke my game!" The SAME people, mind you, that had been complaining about wanting a patch. And yes the patches can sometimes make pre-existing glitches apparent for some people, but these glitches are normally not game breaking. And the ones that are are usually just in that certain save file.

So basically, if you are going to complain about wanting what you don't have, don't complain about it once you have it!

CONGRATS GRACIE!!!

Congratulations to my friend Gracie for passing her driving test! Hopefully now we'll be able to hang out more! (Of course I still need to take my test...)

My Family's Attempt at Eating Healthy

Ok, so my dad LOVES red meat. I don't. I try to get him to make chicken and turkey as often as possible instead of beef. Over the years we've just eaten so much beef that I'm sick and tired of it.
Tonight we had grilled turkey burgers, with salad, and grilled peaches. The peaches didn't turn out good. They weren't sweet. But living in a place where there aren't many local peach trees, you kind of have to deal with what's available at the store. The turkey burgers were good, but they were so thin that they were pretty dry by the time they were ready to be eaten. Although, on a whole wheat bun with cheese and spinach leaves, not too bad. I just wish the peaches had turned out. I will have to figure out how to really make them.

I love to eat healthy. Especially during the summer. Everything outside is so pretty and green that it just makes eating frozen and boxed stuff seem, well, wrong. It's hot out so I don't want to be eating something baked or made on the stove. And I want to use the fresh produce that's in stores to my advantage. I love spinach so that's one of my favorite summer greens. And grilled chicken is sooo much better than fried or baked. It's just lighter. Whenever I eat something that I know is healthy it just makes me feel happier and cleaner for some reason. I'm thinking it's because unlike most foods that are always so readily available, fresh foods aren't covered in grease. I think everyone should take advantage of what you can find in your local markets. And remember to eat fruit when it's in season. Yeah certain fruit is always available at the store, but it just tastes so much better when it's the right season.

I really wish schools would start serving healthier meals. What they serve now is just disgusting. Their burgers are all pressed and old (last time I checked, beef isn't supposed to be yellow) and the "healthier options" are tasteless and sparse. I don't want to sound like a total health nut, because I am totally not one, but what gets put into most packaged foods is just disgusting. All of these color dyes and chemicals. It isn't good for us. And how can schools tell us to be healthy when what they serve to us is worse than a lot of fast food chains? The least they could do is start to give us more options in the fruit and salad bars. Currently many states are going through "Education Reforms" and the one thing that seems to be forgotten about amidst all of the "Oh we'll save money by doing this!" is what food schools serve.
My school's lunch program has become so crappy this last year that I'm seriously considering taking lunches from home. It gives me more control over what I eat.

So I hope that everyone enjoys their summer, and remembers to enjoy what their local markets have to offer! Because trust me, there is a LOT, and it tastes amazing!

Doesn't this look amazing???

Double Standards for Today's Teens

So tonight I went out with one of my bestest friends and on our way home we were discussing how everyone has double standards for teens today. Especially girls. We have to dress a certain way, we have to act a certain way, and yet everyone expects the exact opposite of us.

I'm the type of girl who likes to wear her hair back and not worry about makeup. But in today's society, this isn't "normal." Girls always wear makeup and always have their hair absolutely perfect. And who is it for? Everybody else. What does everybody else think of those girls? What a fake. There's no denying it. If you don't conform visually, people don't think you are normal. But if you do, you are suddenly a fake slut.

The way we are told to act is to not have sex, not take drugs, and don't date around. But if the average teen girl tells someone "I've never had sex" she is met with eye rolls from people of all ages. My friend has a prescription for an acne treatment, but because one of the side effects is major birth defects she is being told to take birth control. When she told her doctor that she wasn't sexually active the doctor just rolled their eyes at her. And as her friend, I would know if she was sexually active. And trust me, she isn't.
We, as teens, are told not to take drugs because of the harmful effects, yada, yada, yada. But of course a lot of teens do. So unfortunately for those of us who don't, adults never believe us when we tell them we have never taken any type of drug, or had any alcohol. Again, we get the eye roll.
We all know girls at school who date around are known as sluts and whores. And there are a lot of us that don't date in high school simply because of the lack of nice guys. But tell another teen that and they instantly think we're lying. Date ONE guy and you are all of a sudden a slut. So which is it? Date or don't date. Personally, I'm not going to just date any guy. I have standards.

So while we are being told to be one thing, we are expected to be the exact opposite. Yes a lot of teens act up, but there are still those of us who don't. And because of the reckless image created by what people see on tv and in the news, teens who do what they are told are always doubted.

So listen up all of you, I don't care if you are a parent, grandparent, doctor, teen, whatever. Not ALL teens are the same. Give us the same benefit of a doubt that you give a five year old. Until you find out who we really are, who are you to judge?

And a special note for teens out there who are confused by all of the conflicting messages:
BE YOURSELF. Love who you are and surround yourself with people who love you for who you are. Don't let double standards get in your way.

I do not claim rights to this video. I just find it inspiring.

Bones Season 7

According to ForensicMama on twitter, the amazing tv show "Bones" starts filming season 7 tomorrow!

Spoilers Ahead!

Ok, so at the end of season 6 Angela and Hodgins welcomed their son Michael Staccato Vincent Hodgins. And he was born perfectly healthy (after learning of a 25% chance of blindness). And at the end of the episode came the biggest surprise yet: Dr. Brennen is pregnant. With Booth's baby.
Now of course we all hoped this would eventually happen, as to if and when no one was quite sure.

According to various websites Season 7 will pick up in Dr. Brennen's third trimester. (Which goes along perfectly with Emily Deschanel's pregnancy.)

I for one am very excited for this season. As I'm sure the rest of the Bones community is. I have a feeling this season will be jammed pack with many surprises. And hopefully a new long lasting vilain. I miss the Gormogon days.

Mission Statement

I've been thinking of starting a blog for a while, but I never knew what to write about. So today I have decided, I'm going to write a blog to keep track of my life, and to have fun. My ramblings will probably range from angry rants to reviews to a summary of important happenings.

A little info about what I like: I love to read, the type of book really doesn't matter. But I find that fantasy is my favorite genre. I love to watch movies. Some of my favorites are the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Dead Poets Society, Patriot, historic movies are my favorite type to watch. And of course anything with epic battle scenes. I love animals, I currently have 5 cats, 2 guinea pigs, and a fish (no I don't live alone).
I love science and I plan on becoming a forensic anthropologist (yes I do love the show Bones).
I also love meeting new people. At the school I go to we usually have a couple of exchange students a year and so I find that to be a great way to learn about other cultures. I love my friends (foreign and not-so-foreign) and have stayed close to many of them over the years.

I hope to get some readers. Whether just some random passerby's, or (if I'm lucky) some return readers.

*PS: I love taking pictures and hope to share a lot of them on here.
